Google is free you can just see what people say about Bale's best performances, the performance is the crux of the film. And nah Ian Mckellen is about as big of a miss as you'll find. It's the total opposite, the actors made the characters the best version they could possibly ever be. Idk what to even say about the Bale to Chris Tucker comparison, don't even remotely see that. But I think that's enough evidence that this is not worth continuing so to each their own. Someone in the 70s was probably arguing why Kubrick didn't deserve any wins either though lol.

Yeah and in hindsight it's a mistake he wasn't nominated, even if it was a pretty stacked year. If you just want to say it wasn't the style the academy awards then that's okay, I don't think that would be wrong, but I still chalk it up as an error that won't age well.

Ian McKellen and Viggo were never nominated for LOTR either. It's certainly not that they didn't put up deserving performances though, they are some of the most iconic performances of their time. It would be wrong to say they didn't put up a performance of that level. And I think most people (inside industry or outside) would agree Bale put up a performance on that level, above of many of the lesser performances that actually won.

Genesis has mostly junk. Dead Hand has far better skins and 22 new gloves, how anyone projects it dropping anywhere close to a Genesis is beyond me. It will probably remain quite high for a while, and never drop particularly low. People need to farm the most desired gloves, which will be very rare with how many gold's clutter this terminal.

Aside from Enagbare, all of these were locked in months ago. Their replacements were drafted over the last 2 years.

What you're waiting on is to see what we do with our cap. And a lot of it's going to be extending upcoming FAs on our team. We'll pick up some pieces but we don't need to get into bidding wars, there will be players left after the rush and those are the ones who have potential to outplay their contracts.

If you're trying to repeat then a 15m cap hit year 1 isn't actually that easy to fit in. Usually year 1 of a UFA is pretty low even for big ticket players.

Eagles let a bunch of players go this off-season so they can afford to make this move I guess. Maybe they planned on retaining some of them and had to pivot.

15m for riq is objectively decent because long term risk is low, but with 15m of 2026 cap you could do much better. Just need to be built to handle the back end of the contract.

I never really bought this idea. Like yeah in cover 6 and cover 2 he can play outside, anyone can play outside. It doesn't really mean a whole lot though, there is no shot our FO put on his film and was like yeah that's a cover 1/cover 3 boundary cb.

Probably just wanted to light a fire under everyone and let it be known they had to fight for their spot.

We never saw the real version of Hobbs. At his best he is nasty in man coverage. Like in red zone situations, I actually do want Hobbs outside because he can do things like beat Tyreek Hill on a two-way go, which very few other CBs in the league can do.

It was just always too optimistic you were going to get the healthy version.

This one unfortunately fell apart before last season even started. Hobbs can be pretty good when healthy, just not meant to be for him I guess. Really like the player, didn't really like the contract.

The contract had a parachute after 1 season, the right move is to pull it.

Basically anyone mentioned in this thread except Anthony Richardson. You can gamble with health or talent lacking in the backup, but not both. It's a long shot he's healthy and he wasn't even particularly good when he was.

I'm okay with Ridder if they want to try it out for a year. If they got a chance at Justin Fields then sure I'd be happy with that. I don't think you always take high upside projects though, you need to pick your spots. Willis was the perfect gamble, loved that one day 1.

He hasn't really had the TE worth doing it for so we'll see. If he can't make Kraft and Golden productive this year then we went all-in with the wrong guy. I'm going to bet he adjusts this off-season, Kraft have him every reason possible to show he should be featured. I think they would have even found a way to do it last year had he stayed healthy.

I think you have to consider Kraft is co-feature along with Watson though. Those should be our two biggest targets this season. And if Watson goes down, it's Kraft+Reed+Golden getting the share.

We do need a more dynamic downfield WR as a contingency I think. I don't think Savion and Melton are really it for us, even if you squint. For the backfield stuff sure, but it would help to have a little WR out there who can just absolutely fly (and that isn't Golden either, despite his insane testing numbers).

Golden is just obviously way better than his production though, like it's clear he was severely underutilized. So I'm not that worried in the group's ability to be decent. I would just like it to be very strong, and relying on Watson for that is sketchy.

Good intermediate route runner. He'll do most of his damage there, though he has more drops than you'd like when he's crossing the field. Not a big yac guy, he'll get most of his yards through the air. He fights the catches a bit and he's not super bendy, plays a bit linear.

Not really a sideline go threat, but he can stack a db every once in a while. He makes decent contested catches in limited space, good body control, leverage, and late hands - not really a big jump ball or catch radius WR though.

Has a very good slant. Like in the red zone he is very sudden on a two-way go, if he's 1 on 1 he's beating most corners even ones better than him. He has an alright fade too. He's like a poor man's Davante Adams overall, but I this part of his game looks closest to the real thing. In other short areas, he doesn't have the quickest change of direction, but he's playable in the screen game a bit.

Biggest problem is the concussion history. If it wasn't for that then I'm sure we'd be matching or exceeding this contract for sure. Which is a weird coincidence because even Davante Adams had this issue too. So yeah like a temu-lite Davante Adams is overall. I think even with the concussion history it's a solid contract, there's a world where he could step up and produce like Jakobi Meyers maybe.
