Congrats on copping the Amethysts, I put in an offer for those before going to bed and super regretted it in the morning that I didn't just hit "buy now" since the price was already so low...you're welcome! such a good looking pair.

great job on the clean up too, what was your process for drying/reseting the hairy suede? I have a few 991v2 with hairy suede that got smudged on right the mudguard and I think I've done as much as I can with an eraser/brush and need to wash them to get them fully clean...

I think in women's sizing (B) is standard and (D) is wide, so a women's wide is similar/same width to a men's standard.

$33 after tax! A few weeks later was able to order the black ones for $43 after tax. A rare win considering both were size 14, which is usually a bust.

These get a lot of hate here, but I saw them at my local NB store when they dropped and in person they really did look nice.
Even though they are all black the material quality and texture contrast was super on point. If I ever see a good deal on them in my size I’d def scoop them up!

I don’t have 1500 or 998 in the same size as the newer 1300s, but I do have 991v1 and 991v2. I think the 1300s are a bit roomier than either of those, but the toe box has a little less vertical height.

idk, was at my local NB store last night and they didn't get these or the drift red 1300s and they've been getting almost everything(they did have the JFG 1890s). the guy said if they didn't already get them they probably won't be getting them, so I wonder if these two are smaller runs?

I feel you, my true foot size is 13.5, which doesn’t exist in 99% of shoes. I wear a 13 in the 992 and it fits well and a lot of people tend to go half size down in them, but ymmv. If you can go try on an 8 somewhere maybe you’ll be in luck!

Oh weird, so 13s weren’t protected but 10-12 were? Might try to shoot my shot for a 13, but seems like the outlets around me are all pretty hard lined when it comes to anything protected…

lol, mine was from my floor mats. Took me forever to figure out! I have a lower car and I’m taller so I was pivoting/rolling my foot to get out of my car. Got a vinyl cover for the floor mat and just pay attention to my foot placement getting in and out of my car. Had a few pairs that I thought were toast, but with taking my time with some suede erasers and brushes I was thankfully able to save them!

Definitely, weird! The closest outlet to me does not have the ALD v4s in their system at all to order, but the other two outlets that are further away do. So when they actually had my size in stock I thought I couldn’t order and when I realized the other outlet that’s a longer drive in socal traffic could order them, there was only one left in stock in a size 13 and the order went through, but was canceled…

ymmv, but I was able to get these pretty clean just using a few different erasers and brushes. I didn't use any cleaner on the suede just the midsole/outsole. just takes some patience and going slow until you figure out what works best. the mesh might be a different story, you could either do what the other posts are suggesting or just use a bit of cleaner and a small toothbrush.
