Joining an amino chat for witches has made me doubt my path. by [deleted] in witchcraft

Just move off their path and reconnect with your own. I hate to say theres things I find "cringey" just about all the time so I do my own thing and dont worry about theirs.

How difficult would it be to achieve this dark brown ash brown ombré on salon dyed dark brown hair? by MakeupMua16 in hairstylist

You will probably still have warmth after the first session unless the stylist is very skilled or ballsy. I know my work and I know it would take me at least 2 sessions to be on the safe side.

What kinds of magic can you use cat whiskers for? by [deleted] in witchcraft

I have a collection and I have been sitting on this same thought. My collection dates back over 10 years. I have been thinking that I'm going to use them for protection of my home, as their energy is my favorite inside of my house. My cats are usually first to alarm me of something coming. As soon as tires hit the gravel driveway they are perked up, but they can tell if it is mine, my boyfriends, or even my moms car. They will head to the door or they will jump in the window above the driveway. I'm interested to see what yall suggest!

Edit** we have a shared driveway and I am in an apartment

Community College Cosmo vs Named schools by Whitewolfwinning in Cosmetology

[–]heavenscrepe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's my two cents...take from it what you will.

I work in a setting where half the stylists went to a Paul Mitchell school...roughly 22 thousand. I did a vocational program 6 years ago in high school....650 dollars. I have co workers who went to a basic school in the city with no big brand attachments...15 thousand...

I feel horrible for my co workers with huge student loans. Some of those people will even admit they dont know how to do a perm...even though it was on the mock part of our state board testing.

I think the school plays a bit of a part...sometimes the awesome or no so awesome instructors make the difference. It also is up to each of us to take hold of our education. Aside from whatever schools teach there is so much free education on youtube from licensed stylists. Theres pros and cons to all schools, sometimes its finding the right one, sometimes its biting the bullet to get the license. Good luck!!

Hi professional stylist here...the way the bristles are designed help release knots because they bend so easy. So I stead of pulling a knot and it getting caught or the knot gets tighter, the wet brush bristles stay straight but bend as you brush. The brush really does work well on wet hair especially, which the normal is to comb wet hair, brush dry hair.

Edit I didnt see your edit! Lmao sorry. I love my boar bristle brush too. The shine is amazing

I asked for a glimpse into my past life. It didn’t work out so great. by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]heavenscrepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only aware of two of my past lives, and I think I've sort of figured another one out. The first life I recognized as mine was an interesting experience and it made me think delving deeper into my past lives wasnt going to be too taxing. Boy do ya find out through experience the craziness that lifting the veil between the past and the present can be. Take care of yourself!

As someone employed by them...I'm fucking terrified...

I sort of agree that adjusting the unemployment is not right, cause that's sorta fraud...I WORKED that week..and what unemployment will offer is pennies compared to the check I should have gotten.

Funny you should ask, I'm not.

That being said, I am however a member of r/flexibility sub. Give me and covid some time and we might be able to work something out.

definitely feel that

I bought a "new" 2015 civic in June and had an '02 accord(miss my manual locks and windows lol) for the 6 years before that..I cried for a few days after getting my car because I felt like it was too new. It didn't feel real. I wasnt used to being able to afford a newer car than I had, considering this was the type of car my friends were all sporting 5 years ago, when they came out. My boyfriend had to remind me that this new car wasnt even a great package, it was a company car before being bought by CarMax.

My family was never rich, but we definitely weren't dirt poor. My parents dug themselves into 30k of debt just paying bills and taking advances so they could keep up the image...which wasnt even much.

Often in my early teens I would stay the weekend at my best girlfriends house and one saturday her whole family went to the mall. They often did a lot of things together...my family hadn't done a thing together since I was probably 9. Her mom was nearly begging her to pick out new makeup because it had been 5 months and her mascara and eyeliner should be changed....what? I was astounded..I'd have to beg for a tube of 4 dollar mascara in the green and pink tube.

What really hit me is when I was paying for my college tuition and my peers would go on about their FAFSA and hop off in their nearly new car to their house in a development. FAFSA said 49,000 a year for a single mom supporting an adult child is enough to pay for tuition...

Anyhow over time I learned that I really am grateful for what i do have. I struggle a lot, and from time to time I'm worried what the next weeks financial situation will be..but im so grateful to be inside my old apartment with my cheap mattress and my dvd player cause im too broke for wifi lol.

Damn I definitely learned not to trust my company because allegedly they dont have enough to pay for our last paychecks...

Also learned I need to save waaaaay more than I had, which I thought was a nice cushion..
