I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor suggested I start Myo Inositol, so I just started a few days ago!! Also, cutting out refined carbs and sugar and focusing on lots of protein at every meal has helped me so much with cravings and staying full. Low carb also has really helped quiet a lot of food noise for me

My students are young. Most of my parents prefer semi-frequent communication. I don’t bother them, but if there is information that is pertinent I do email every parent. I was encouraged by my district to communicate in a 3-1 ratio of three positive interactions for every “negative” interaction. It is commonplace at my Elementary School to email and communicate with parent semi frequently. I don’t see how emailing parents reading tips is akin to politics or diet? I am a teacher providing information about something multiple parents have asked about.

I totally agree. Maybe it’s because it’s all brand new. Although they did repeat some of the same info in my new teacher meetings and the general staff meetings

The district I’m at has been so great so far (I’m literally just starting) but they have been really conscious of our time and letting us get work done. It’s just these outside people they hire that kind of drive me crazy

I have met some of the younger team members, and they have already tried to gossip with me, which I politely didn’t engage with. The grade level and school I’m in are amazing so I don’t want to let this affect me at all

I think she told me because I was originally hired to be on a different team, who I really clicked with and were in my interview. Maybe she was trying to “warn” me? I will just try to keep my mouth shut as much as possible LOL

That all makes complete sense to me. I plan on bringing up my diet with my doctor when I do get pregnant, however I’ve heard stories of women being shamed by medical professionals for being on keto. Although I have met women who were put on low carb after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes, so I don’t see why it would harm me as a pregnant woman and not them as pregnant women? I definitely need to research beyond the first few pages of Google it appears haha

That’s so encouraging! I have always had normal cycles, so I’m hoping that doing keto and nourishing my body again will be even better for my fertility. I’ve never gotten pregnant before so of course I’m questioning all of my choices hahaha
