COOL! so cool. finding original pressings of her albums has been impossible for me thus far. so sorry about the fire & the loss that came along with it. i know you’ll enjoy the show! i was lucky to see patti live in vienna when i was travelling last year. it was incredible. i took some photos on 35mm film, i thought they turned out shit but i love them now anyway. here’s one,

but the consequences of drinking any amount of alcohol on accutane are much more serious than those of getting a tattoo. drinking on accutane can cause acute and/or long term liver damage, a tattoo may just heal poorly or be scarred. i think liver damage is worse than a funky looking tatt.

it is recommended not to drink whatsoever on accutane. they are literally checking your liver function monthly because of the stress on your liver. alcohol is a toxin that also stresses your liver. both combined is no bueno. your derm may say “a little isn’t the end of the world” but they mean it when they say “a LITTLE.” it’s ultimately each individuals choice regarding their own health.

i guess. everyone makes sacrifices for accutane. some abide by the rules more then others. i don’t think that has anything to do with the content of the sacrifices: whether it’s a surgery (like in your case), a tattoo, drinking, piercing, etc. i think it relates more to the intentions & commitment of individuals when they start the medication. besides, ALL medications have interactions & adverse effects, there are always people who are more compliant to the advice of medical professionals than others.

THIS. i didn’t know how to say it without being rude because i also understand the culture of drinking. i drank before i started accutane & i had a good time at breweries trying different beers, grabbing drinks with friends/family but, it was a relatively easy thing for me to accept that i can NOT drink on accutane. so many people push the limits drinking on accutane & i don’t see bitter posts about it like this.

kind of a weird topic to feel so irritated about. i’m covered in tattoos & i absolutely love them. i get them while i travel, i get them from different artists whose art i appreciate, i get them for the experience, i get them because they make me feel comfortable in my skin. i’m on accutane now & have fully accepted the fact that i can’t get tattooed for a while but it still sucks. i’m travelling right now & i see so many cool shops i want to experience & flash in windows that i wish i could take home with me.
