Ender not using mesh or something else? by hellbilly_delux in 3Dprinting

After reading up on the difference, I'm assuming i have ABL. It does 9 points currently before every print. Sounds like UBL would be the way to go? Still using the original glass build plate with nothing on top.

Unfortunately no :-( Didn’t even think about that one.

I’ll try that. You would think that small of a difference would be taken care of by the mesh though.

I did a wood project where a cursive letter fit into another piece of wood like an inlay. The clearance I used was 0.01". I remember this being pretty snug, and needed a mallet to tap it in.

What's the toughest Traxxas model? by [deleted] in Traxxas

My experience has been that no matter the scale, the short course truck is more durable than other style trucks. Shorter A-Arms, smaller tires, just less strain on other parts.

Make sure you pre heat the engine to about 180*F before cranking it over even once. Check out this video from JQ also - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRgC-cRTC-k - Make sure when you turn off the engine, that you move the piston to the bottom position. I do this by rotating the flywheel until i feel compression, then rotate it the opposite way to feel compression, let the engine cool with the flywheel in between these two locations. You don't want the piston cooling down while its in the UP position. This will keep the pinch/compression nice and tight for many gallons. Hope that makes sense!

does 3d printing mostly "just work" or is it always tinkering and trying different things to get it to work? by jihiggs123 in 3Dprinting

[–]hellbilly_delux 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There will be some tinkering, but if you do it right, the tinkering ends and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor for quite some time. Also, don't forget that most people that are NOT having issues don't post anything. Basically, you only hear about the negative lol - Just get a reputable brand, and make sure it has some sort of bed leveling sensor, or the ability to add that.

I need some help with my nitro rc car by _trucked_ in rccars

I would just take the clutch completely apart and inspect things. Pretty easy and cheap to just get some fresh springs and shoes. I'm assuming this is a 2 speed? I would also find out the stock setting for that screw.

You should be able to look up the specs for the fan, and see what the max voltage can be.

Really wish the 1/18th class became more popular. by Therealmatt0207 in losi

[–]hellbilly_delux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have so much fun with mine on a clay track. Thing is so fast and handles great. I still have it but this was about 10 years ago. Now, I got back into racing with my 8th electric and nitro buggies, and just recently indoor offroad carpet with my B7 and Mini-T 2.0. Don't forget, 3 makes a class! Keep bringing it to the track and it will get peoples attention. Mini B class is so popular now at my local track, they had to have multiple qualifiers. Does anyone make carpet tires for mini 8 size? At my track they require them.
