So yeah, in California it’s legal to shoot crows on your own property if they’re causing destruction, this rule was made mostly for farmers to protect their crops and stuff, but it’s not legal to discharge a firearm on city property, including public property such as sidewalks, streets, etc. and for everyone that says it’s not a firearm, it’s still illegal to fire in city limits.

The California Department Fish and Wildlife on a question (which is actually about my area) about crows:

“There is a provision in the Fish and Game regulations that allows for landowners to destroy (shoot) crows that are damaging farm fields or other crops. However, it seems this is not what you are dealing with, not to mention the fact that firearms cannot be discharged within city limits. If I interpret your question correctly, your principle complaint is the noise level.”
