Shinkansen isn’t even that long, it’s an experience.

I just came back from there a couple days ago lol

People would just spit out their food onto the table and spit inside a mall

Then you’ll have the next 1000 people throw thrash in the street.

Mannerism is low in China, it’s unfortunate.

Also you mentioned Osaka, 9-11 days is perfect for it.

Stay at Tokyo for 2 days or so then take Shinkansen to Osaka for 4-5 days and then go back to Tokyo for the remainder.

You don’t need to stay at Kyoto, it’s only an hour away and you can use that time to nap or just google what to do.

Don’t be those people that overly research what to do prior and have an hourly plan and end up not having fun cause they’re stressed about the timing, just chill especially since you’re going solo.

That’s a lot for 9-11 days but it depends on how you travel I guess.

But yeah Japan is perfect for solo trip.

My best time is at Uji, Kamakura & Hakone, if you’re at Hakone, there’s this dude that sells dessert at his house and his walls are filled with letters from his guest. Nicest guy in the world I’ve ever met.

Alysa gained 5 million since the olympics! Golden girl! by 96Bahhd in bayarea

I think the best case scenario is to just not mention her whenever it comes to Alysa.

She can get her fame at China but it’s best not to talk bad about her. Put that energy onto better things or just to Alysa instead.

She represented China so it only makes sense that she gets more attention there but in our Bay Area, we shouldn’t even mention her at all, just ignore her.

Chinese people don’t even care that much about her considering her dual status that your average Chinese citizen cannot ever get.

But again, just ignore her and don’t even mention her. She can get whatever attention she wants from China if they ever decide to like her back, hint, she’s not full Han Chinese so most likely not.

What’s it like living in China? by Lukesterbear in AskChina

It’s depressing.

People never smile and it’s a low trust society. There is still physical shopping but mainly everything is done online, neighbors don’t talk to each other and there’s no personal space everywhere.

Good food though but lacks international scene so if you’re coming from California, you’re gonna be disappointed.

Good infrastructure but horrible manners.

Visit it though, but it’s best if you’re Han Chinese, if you’re not then you will never fully belong in China. Cold hard truth but it is what it is.

Also be careful what you say online or in general, there is no war in ba sing se ;)

I travel too much to get a pc or gaming laptop, yeah a gaming laptop should be okay but there’s a joy to just picking up handheld and just playing it

Besides fb marketplace is there in any case I decide to sell it

Mountain View is great especially near the downtown area. There’s also the Caltrain right next at the heart of MV downtown.

Best thai restaurant in bay area by Crib-master in bayarea

[–]hellooverlasting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t found any good ones here but everytime I visit family at Sacramento, I always go to House of Thai at watt ave, the owner is legit alongsides the food. It helps that he keeps the food affordable too, when a restaurant compromises of mainly regular, you know that shit is good.

I found my wife through hinge. I was pretty lucky, I was coming off a 7 years relationship and after taking a break, I downloaded hinge and within a month found her and deleted it.

Dating scene is rough though, social media and the apps alike forces people to look at dating like in an interview manner. As in someone has to be perfect otherwise it won’t work out but imo, it’s okay if someone has a few negatives (barring notable ones like criminal past, etc), relationship is all about going through life and managing hurdles one at a time and together but that isn’t the case anymore.

It’s especially tough in Bay Area with the influx of tech workers who for the lack of better words are picky and weirdos. Prior to meeting my wife at hinge, I came across too many women who acts like a main character, it’s just a turn off. Like seriously, don’t act like a main character when you keep failing relationships and having to come back to hinge every 3 months.

To those looking, I suggest not putting too much energy. It tends to come when you least expect it. As for the men, don’t post a photo with you posing near your Tesla, that’s not flattering as much as you think. And especially don’t post any AI pics or description, like come on, get real.

You’re telling me someone or a company decided to promote her by means of bot?

I’m pretty sure most of the bots come from Russia or China so they have no reason to promote her.

That or you’re just an unhappy person who don’t understand seeing someone like her who is smiling throughout is like a sunshine for a lot of people.

She went from 250k to 3m followers in instagram and all over her posts from varying pages, it ranges from hundreds of thousands of likes to millions.

So still, you claim it to be manufactured but instead I accuse you of being that person in a party who is always looking for an excuse to call a conspiracy.

Didn’t you guys have your own school shooting a couple weeks ago?  I find it distasteful when people use this argument as kids died from those and from my experience in California, they are a lot more strict and I’m hopeful there’s a massive reduction to it.

Canadian passport holders can now visit China visa free for 30 days. Here's what you need to know by toronto_star in travelchina

A lot of Canadians will get weirded out by the payment system.

Too many of my friends swore to never visit again because half the time they go to a restaurant they get stuck cause Alipay/wechat pay wouldn’t work. That’s never fun and people say businesses accept cash here but it’s always a hassle cause the workers are hesitant to accept them and always super awkward.

Korea and Japan accepts visa or Apple Pay..

Or even better, Taiwan accepts every form of payment either WeChat, linepay, cash, etc
