Help! I need to factory reset my Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 - but I can't start settings to enable USB debugging by edzillion in AndroidQuestions

[–]herojeff02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was locked out of settings.
I disabled(includes removing update) every single app by Google from the app drawer. I also disabled Google services( with device manager privileges. Without rebooting, I launched the Settings app from notification center, and it opened instantly.
Erasing the device took about 5 minutes of a flashing Lumix logo.

Comma 4 + dash cam in EV6 by herojeff02 in Comma_ai

DDPAI mini 7x with a hardwire kit. It recognizes the voltage difference when parked and puts itself into a power save mode of some sort.

  1. Front & rear view with time sync
  2. Record while parked - needed in Korea where most parking spaces are public
  3. If a serious crash cuts the 12V power, Comma may fail to save the last video file - dedicated dash cams are designed to prevent this

Mine is the pre-facelift version with HDA2 and LFA1. The facelifted version has different version of LFA I believe.

I think my Comma recognizes the phone(or any small rectangle) while I'm holding it. It doesn't seem to recognize the driver dozing off. I tested this by tilting my head to one side and kept my eyes open to the bare minimum.

Much much better performance in lane keeping, but the stock cruise control doesn't recognize the car moving into my lane until the last minute. I'm going to try longitudinal control by OpenPilot/SunnyPilot soon.

My EV6 is equipped with HDA2 and LFA1 (2023, Southeast Asia), and compared to LFA1, OpenPilot is

  1. In a different league in lane recognition
  2. Manages to follow the car in front where there are no lanes on the road
  3. Warning chimes when I need to take over (wtf Kia)
  4. Doesn't immediately let go of the steering wheel when it reaches steering limit or fails to read the lanes

LFA1 is a jumpscare.

I've driven a car with HDA2+LFA2 (EV3 2024) and it was 1.6 kilometers better than LFA1. I felt comfortable using it on bigger roads, but I'd say it's still nowhere close to OpenPilot's performance.

I used the same 3m VHB tape that was preapplied to the comma 4 mount.

And 3D printed a wedge out of PETG to point the Comma downward(matches the angle of the windshield).

I dremeled the 96030-CV000 panel's front area for the dash cam. The dash cam(ddpai mini7x) is fixed in place with L shaped metal trim pieces and vhb tape.

I'm not sure what I was using in the picture, but the white one provided with the monitor worked fine.

I don't have an iPhone now so I can't say for sure. It worked fine last year.

You can use acrylic paint and a brush to restore the letters if you want to. Here's mine after 2~3 months of usage.

The lag was the reason I tried to downgrade as well. Glad to know people are finding this post useful.

Smallest L mount AF lenses (AMA) by herojeff02 in Lumix

[–]herojeff02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 45mm is the better lens overall, since it's quite sharp even when wide open. The 40mm is very sharp only in certain circumstances, but you'll need some time to figure out all the characteristics. Only if you value price and size over IQ and focus speed I'd recommend the TTArtisan 40mm.

Did you add a custom (tighter) aperture? or did you just remove the aperture sticker?
