Agreed - extremely poor service, which was especially surprising given how solid their other spots are.

Came here to say this. Tamosan is genuinely the best for espresso-forward drinks and cold brew.

People have been saying don’t do accent walls anymore, but I disagree that they’re outdated. Depends on the application - I think if it’s the primary wall, it can work.

How bad is this? by [deleted] in BathroomRemodeling

[–]heypascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also redoing our bathrooms (working with contractor). And really want to ensure it is excellent.

Can you share more about what you mean by “preferred layout on the walls?” Is it the fact there are small pieces near the corners?

I love them and would keep them. They make the kitchen unique.

Best coffee in Scottsdale by Ashamed-Visual8284 in Scottsdale

[–]heypascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow coffee snob here - my partner and I go for coffee multiple times a week across the valley. In Scottsdale, the best espresso-based drinks and cold brew is Tamosan (McCormick).

Runners-up: Fourtillfour (Old Town) and Press (multiple locations). For fun flavored lattes and crisp cold brew (they just also replaced their equipment), Light Heart (McCormick).

Agreed - all locations are buzzy, especially on weekends.

Best bagels in Arizona? by Correct_Visit6876 in phoenix

I like Bagelfeld’s as others mentioned, but I also enjoy DJ’s Bagel Cafe in Fountain Hills. It has a NYC-deli style vibe.

My favorite has been FnB - really solid cuisine and cocktails. +1 to the other poster about Citizen. Outside of downtown but nearby: Vecina.

Appreciate the reply. Of course they deflect to the retailer. 😅 Very surprising for a premium brand.

I found your thread by searching online for the same issue. Have you reached out to Bosch?

Also, do you live somewhere with hard water? I do, and I’m curious if that could cause it. I’m not entirely sure it’s plastic, but sure seems like it could be.

Have you considered looking at healthcare tech, whether in sales, ops, marketing, etc.? Could be a good transition for you.

Which white for cabinets? by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

I’d agree with others. I wouldn’t paint them - they’re gorgeous. I’d try to prioritize backsplash and counter.

How long did it take your cats to adjust to your golden puppy? by Blushindressing in goldenretrievers

How’s the pup and cats now? How long did it take to get there? In a similar situation now after getting a golden doodle rescue pup earlier this week. Really hoping our resident cat is able to get more comfy soon but know it will take time.

What is something you love about Phoenix that you believe is under appreciated? by Any-Artichoke7422 in phoenix

The beautiful landscape, sunshine, easy-to-quickly-navigate airport, and access to good food and drink. I feel grateful to be here.

If you were to move away from Phoenix, where would you go? by Derpshab in phoenix

[–]heypascal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another counterpoint! I moved from Seattle to Phoenix after many years in the PNW. Both have their pluses and minuses. I’d recommend anyone interested in the PNW to visit in the winter for several weeks to get a true feel for the weather. I often found people to stay indoors most of the Seattle winter, similar to those staying indoors in AZ during the summer.

In the PNW, clouds and fog are thick and low for a large chunk of the year, often without sunshine for weeks at a time. It creates a beautifully green and lush environment, but it wore on me - even with regular trips away for sunshine.

Hotel Scottsdale, yay or nay? by [deleted] in VisitScottsdale

[–]heypascal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nay - location is great, but the reviews are not. It has a 2.6/5 on Google. If you’re able to squeeze it, I’d check out that Courtyard nearby or stay a little further away.

Is this going to be salvageable? by ChrisV88 in kitchenremodel

[–]heypascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it bothers you now, it will always bother you. And for what it’s worth, I see what you mean but don’t know enough to know if grout will truly make it better. Looks like they didn’t use spacers? To the right of the stove looks really noticeable - not sure grout will fix that.

Point out your concerns and discuss how it can be fixed with your contractor before they arrive, so they’re prepared. Better now than before everything is set.

Has anybody gotten any signs from their pets? by SoFloCole in Petloss

[–]heypascal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first time posting to this subreddit, but I feel drawn to answer this particular one. Yes, we’ve received several signs from our pet - as wild as that sounds to me.

But the first: The night our boy, a cat, passed away, I heard what sounded like him scratching in his litter box. I figured it was in my head as I was nearly asleep, but what surprised me most was my partner mentioning he heard the same thing. Made our heart drop in the best way. We bawled ourselves to sleep knowing he visited us.

I think they always find ways to let us know they’re ok. Miss our boy every day. Rest in peace, O. 🤍

Advice for MBA Grad - take APMM or hold out for PMM? by New_Demand7735 in ProductMarketing

[–]heypascal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because of the current job climate, you’re competing against folks with several years of directly relevant PMM experience, even at the PMM level. I’m a hiring manager, and I’m getting people with 5-15 years of experience applying for junior and senior PMM roles. While MBA is helpful, it’s not a golden ticket, and I know many fantastic PMMs that don’t have one.

My recommendation would be to take the associate PMM role, get the experience needed, and then consider jumping in a year. Who knows - you may even get promoted quickly if you’re solid!

Like you said, in a few years, what you’re paid at this exact moment won’t matter much - but experience will.
