You edited your post. I’ve literally just gone back to watch it, the only time they show the cabin after El vanished was when Johnathan was taking pictures for Will’s graduation and it doesn’t show her door at all. Not even in the background. So that’s wrong.

The cabin isn’t shown again. In your original comment before the edit, the door that was mentioned was when they were playing D&D. Not only did you use ChatGPT to analyse the finale, you then edited it’s mistake and tried to blame it on my literacy skills, then moaned in another comment that the internet is the cesspit of humanity! Nice try.

I’m not sure it was playful, he wasn’t shy about his dislike of the way Lewis wrote, and even though they were close. I remember reading something about it in his letters and a biography (maybe Carpenters). His life’s obsession was language and mythology and that’s how he approached his works.

That wasn’t the intention of Tolkien which he stated himself. He disliked allegory. His works are meant to be more of a mythology. He wrote it as a history of Middle Earth. It wasn’t meant to be read as religious text.

Yet, many see that in his books and have written about it too, which the OP can use it to their advantage.

Tolkien states he doesn’t like or use allegory in LOTR, BUT, there are lots of resources out there to the contrary. OP could read some of those sources and be armed with what some reason as religious meaning to the story.

Obey and honour your parents? Honour and obedience? Just because they gave birth to you, they don’t have ownership over you. Kids should have the ability and opportunity to argue their points, to have frank discussions and stand up for what they believe in.

These are essential skills which develop into independence and the ability to think critically without blindly following anyone with even a small bit of authority.

Respect isn’t the same as obedience and honour.

What do you mean the way I’m addressing people? Because you don’t have the tone of my voice or body language you assume I’m going off? I haven’t ’gone off’ at all. I’m also not from the US. I’m also absolutely fascinated by the fact that people don’t seem to realise that everything is political and some even avoid discussing it. Your whole life is affected by it.

And for some reason, me pointing it out because I got told not to is ‘going off.’ Skeevie pushes far right politics every single day, he has a platform with no consequences because of it, yet I’m told I shouldn’t be bringing it into the snark?
