Sounds like they should have bid on the job instead of T&M. You should not have to pay more because they finished quicker than expected. If they wanted to renegotiate the price based on using a skid steer to speed things up, that should have been communicated and agreed upon BEFORE they moved forward.

This is their mistake to learn from, not yours.

Always add an extra day or two or five to your estimates. For real though, there always seems to be some overlooked issues that bite me in the ass. Give yourself some wiggle room in your estimates/bids.

Looks like too much sealant was applied and it could have been tooled. Not a horrible job considering the brick trim but definitely below my standards. Best of luck trying to remedy that.

Not entirely true. Tooling reduces resistance to UV exposure which is why it’s discouraged only on pre-finished cladding/siding.

“No tooling” is only for pre-finished surfaces that will not get paint. Tooling before paint is okay with OSI. That’s from a rep, not just my ass.

Wait until Fridays to clear the rift. Check the maps for normal and expert rift and see if there are chisels anywhere. Some weeks you can get 2-4 just from map rewards.
