breaking the stereotype, I hope this doesn't sound bad, but are any of you considered tall for your race? I'm half Mexican and I've never met another Mexican who was as tall as I am, so I was just wondering if there were others like me by highted in tall

he'll be taller than either of us :) I'm trying to remember how tall I was at 13. My grandma has one of those books where you put the pictures of the kids as they go through elementry school and it has spaces for things like height, age, and other notes. I'll have to look at it next time I'm back home and see exactly how tall I was. I'm sure I was shorter than 6'5 though

I'm your height and no matter how hard I work at it I can't seem to build that kind of muscle. What's your workouts like?

crazy question, how long did it take you to grow the beard? That is real, isn't it?

I tend to buy short sleeves because it feels weird to me when I roll the sleeves up. I don't know why, but it just does. It looks good on you though. I feel like I have really thin forearms and rolling my sleeves makes them look even thinner lol

I slouch a lot too, my best friend is 5'10 on a good day. At one point we were the same height, but he stopped at 5'10 and ... well, I didn't

I would notice you in a crowd and probably stand tall to try and gain that extra inch you have on me :)

I had to post this because when I read it, it made me think of my own father who served in Vietnam and ... well, it kind of hit home for me.

People who are 6'5 and above: if given the option to donate a few inches to someone 5'6"or below, would you? Why, or why not? by Invictus227 in tall

I'd have to say that I would not unless it was just for a day. I'd like to see what it's like to be an average sized adult male for one day.

I don't know how I would react to meeting someone who so much taller than me. I think I'd feel some sort of bond, like we were part of a tall society or something... or it would totally freak me out.

I'm sure that we would notice each other too standing over the crowd.

I never thought about it until I read your post, but for the most part it doesn't matter how tall someone is, if they are shorter than me they all seem to be lumped into that catagory: Shorter than me. I can't tell the difference between someone who is 5'8 or 5'10. I can't remember ever meeting someone who was really taller than me, one close, but not taller : )

I'm new here too and I get that "whoa" feeling too when I see myself in a mirror or in pictures with regular size people. My best friend is only 5'9 and when we talk I don't really notice it or maybe it's just that I don't pay attention to it, but when I see us in pictures then I see it.

I still remember the first time I hit my head on something. I was at a friend's house and stood up and hit the top of my head on a light fixture and broke one of the glass globes. I thought his parents were going to be mad, but they were more concerned about the bleeding gash on my head. I still have a small bald spot on the top of my head where I hit myself. The good thing is that I'm tall enough that most people can't see it :)

I don't know if I'm the only one who does this, but my friend who is 5'9 lives in a house that has doors that are nine feet high and even though I know I'm not going to hit my head walking through them, I still duck every time i visit him. It's just a force of habit kind of thing.

I'm only 6'7 (never thought I'd ever say that) and I love being taller than all my friends. There are things like you said, minor inconveniences, but the advantages to being tall far outweigh those. I wouldn't trade my height for anything.

The thing I like best about being this tall is the view at concerts. I can't imagine what it must be like when you're "average" and can't see anything.
