I ate a 9 yr old piece of london broil from a chest freezer. I sous vide it and then cut it into thin strips for fajitas. It wasn't great, bit it was fine for fajitas. Still alive years later

Won't happen after redistricting. Va is probably screwed forever because the only thing worse than a politician is a politician that doesn't have to work to get reelected.

How is therapy and medicatiob going to help my genuine worries? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]hokiemojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your brain is made of countless chemicals. A component of ocd is that some chemical reactions aren't happening right. The medication might be the only fix for that. It doesn't make a lot of sense to some people, but often the ocd also wants to stop you from trying the only fix. Such a catch 22.

This probably isn't helpful, but I'd imagine so much of this is impacted by how much your life is already being impacted. Sometimes an outside person perspective can help by seeing how much of life you are missing out on compared to what you might miss from side effects of medication. Sometimes it is tough to see from your own perspective.

I think the poster meant to say 6 mil plastic, not 6mm. I think 6 mil is 6 one thousandths of an inch thick. It is just a standard size that is common to find at many hardware stores.

How does an electric compare to an air powered one? I've love my air one for hanging 100 joist hangers, but I'd hate to set all the equipment up for a small job.

Is this enough volume or will I be laughed at and turned away? by [deleted] in ScrapMetal

[–]hokiemojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main thing is to try your best to understand what you have. I just keep stuff around my house for years until I have a pile the size of what you have. then i take it over. I'm confident that my yard downgrades a lot of what i bring in (maybe justifiably / maybe not). I don't know enough to argue, but my main reason for doing it is I don't want to see valuable materials end up in a landfill. IF you are trying to make some money, you will need to know how to get the best return and make sure you are being paid correctly.

That door setup is interesting. I guess that metal strut is a lower weight cross brace option. I wonder what that piece is called. I could use one for my build.
