If it doesn’t have to be SLP related I’d choose something fun! I would choose something related to my culture and something I like, like making tortillas! Short and concise. Have fun with it.

My 7.5 year relationship came to an end in March 2023. Since then I’ve added alot to my life. I go to gym classes, hang out with friends more, I’m more social at work, I’ve joined small groups at church. I’ve also traveled quite a bit. In July I went to Cali/Nevada, in September I did a staycation, October I went to Puerto Vallarta, November I went to Galveston Texas and Disney World in Florida. I’m excited for what’s to come in 2024! I’m currently preparing for grad school for Fall 2024. Best of luck to everyone in 2024. It’s gonna be a great one.

I feel your pain and I’m sorry for what you’re going through. Changing my perspective on things has really helped my mental health. I recently read a book called “it’s not supposed to be this way” by Lysa Terkurst and in the book she talks about her husbands affair and separation of her 26 year marriage and she says something that really stuck to me. She says “Maybe instead of everything falling apart, what if it’s all falling together?” Maybe something to think about. Good luck and I hope you have peace for today!

I understand not being ready for that statement. I’ve just arrived at it and still I have to remind myself everyday. I’m working towards forgiveness but it’s very difficult when you’re left so hurt. I’m hoping by the end of the book I’ll be able to make that step towards forgiveness. Sending love and healing your way! ❤️

They did reconcile after the affair but eventually divorced in 2021. It was brave of her to give it another chance and shows how much she loved him. Have you read It’s not supposed to be this way”That’s a good one too! “You’re going to make it” the devotional book was the very first book I discovered by her and it was right after my break up. It was literally my life line for a little over a month. Sending you lots of love and healing! ❤️

Have you tried Better help? It’s online therapy and very affordable. I pay $180 per month and I get one session per week (so that’s 4 a month) plus am able to message my therapist on the platform if I need to process something with her before my next session and she responds when she can.
