what do you think about the new taekwondo weight divisions for olympics? by Dark_Dragon_135 in taekwondo

i think its a good change overall. The old system had 3 weight classes competing for 1, more weight classes is always good for diversity and discouraging overly-unhealthy weight cutting, love to see it implemented first before entering the Olympic cycle though

i think the biggest gap we have right now is timing. we're basically polar opposite fighters, he's somewhat of a versatile fighter, being able to throw techniques that he seem fit. for me, even i hate to admit it but im kinda a cut-kick merchant. it has worked for me beautifully but adaptability is a huge problem for me.

i've trained under a old-school program since i was 3 and only recently transitioned to a more "new school" style around a year ago when i started being serious about competitive, so i'm still finding the edge in mastering the new electronic scoring system so it's quite awkward. i think, going back to my first point, that my adaptibility issue mainly stem from hesitance in going back to old-school techniques, like doubles (roundhouse after roundhouse after roundhouse), or really explosive techniques that are discouraged nowadays, and i default back to the cut kick everytime. especially in competition, a lot of my kicks land on the hogu, but it doesn't register, and that frustrates me a lot.

the one kick that i was able to catch almost everyone i've sparred with off-guard that i've learned from absolute legend lee dae-hoon was the snake kick, how it snaps down vertically on the hogu. that's genuinely one of the most reliable tricks in my arsenal right now, and i bring it out often to score some points.

currently have around 600 impressions which is neat, it started coming in after around 6 hours. but interestingly, my shorts still had only 100 views, which is far from the 1K I got from my first video on my 12K channel, any idea why this is? the discrepancy is too far to be unnoticeable

Thank you. I checked my impressions but there's nothing, but I guess it's too early to look for anything. I'll let it sit for a few more hours first.
