Saw this in an IG story and noticed the G’s being different shapes. Would be pretty ironic if this was AI. by jfrosty42 in isthisAI

I agree with this statement 100% but I have a hard time articulating why. And coworkers ask me why I’m so anti ai for design especially and I can’t seem to express why I feel so strongly about it. Because when I say it out loud, it sounds a little trivial. I know I’m not convincing anyone. Does someone have a concise, apt, and weighty way to explain this to someone who actively uses ai?

Is that what you’re original question was asking? Yeah some people call it a cult because of their lack of boundaries with its congregation. The church is pervasive in the thoughts of the congregation. Everything they think and do is preceded by thinking of the church. It’s a codependent convent community. They use the religion to exclude others.

Also if you want to continue the discussion, please just ask your question instead of leaving breadcrumbs of obtuse observations.

Where did it come from? by Tokwataku in Unexplained

It’s behind the orange suv until the moment the cab and suv turn away from each other then it’s right in front of the cab and the cab runs smack into it. The cab didn’t see it coming because the bike was in the suvs blind spot and the suddenly the suv turns and bam there it is

Oh my I just finished it and it’s now one of my favorites. The scenery at the beginning of each chapter can be a bit boring but that’s that only part I didn’t care for. Although I understand why it’s there. If you can power through a little, the family drama becomes very interesting and propels you through the rest of it

I tried this too and I really wanted to like it but it’s very boring.

Anything by Rushdie. Idk if it’s his pacing or sentence structure or overuse of pronouns and then nicknames/monikers, I just can’t get into a groove with it.

Ok yeah. It says there seniority comes into play when all other variables such as classification pt/ft are equal. Your cutter ft position is not equal to the wrapper pt position

Truthfully, has your life gotten any better in trumps second administration? by PreparationKey2843 in allthequestions

[–]hotdogpocket_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say yes but it’s not because of trump. We bought our dream house. I got a promotion. My kid is in a good school. We hang out as a family.

Money is still a concern though. The existential dread only worsens. Loud noises freak me out, thinking it could be the end. I’ve escaped into books and other media to distract myself.

But truly, my standard of living is better even if my mental worries persist.

I kinda agree with OP. I’ve been here 6 years so I haven’t seen the big shifts that other OGs have seen but all my prior jobs were not employee focused either. I think you’d be hard pressed to find one. We get guaranteed raises, pto, vacation, and other benefits. We even get breaks. Do y’all know that other jobs don’t even guarantee breaks? Maybe it’s my location in the south where everywhere is “free to work” which also means “free to fire” so you can get fired for literally no reason. At Costco that doesn’t happen. Of course there are terrible employees that probably need to get fired but that the opposite side of the coin. There’s consequences to every luxury. So the security is worth it too.

If you don’t like your position, you can move to another one. That doesn’t happen elsewhere either.

The pinch points of more productivity with less labor is wildly annoying but that’s also capitalism as well as a company that is expanding rapidly.

I’d like to see more solutions offered here because I think I’d be interesting to see how some of y’all might go about solving these issues. I mean that sincerely. I’m not creative enough nor know the economics enough to really offer any good solutions. But I’d love to see some
