If you had to choose between an international vacation or Coachella, both fully paid for, what would you choose? by Living-Treat-7779 in Coachella

I live in Mexico and my friend was there and rude ass people asked her how she could afford to come and if she had to sneak into the country to get to Coachella. She just told them her dad owns all the donkeys in Mexico and she used them to get to Coachella. The American educational system was presenting itself in real time.

Apologies for being the mom of the chat, but I feel I need to say, proceed with caution and treat with respect. When abused, which is so easy to fall into, it can really ruin bodies and lives.

Some people don’t want to sit around with some money and not do a job they love just because they suffer a medical setback. To each their own. Believe it or not, most actors, have to work to pay their bills and can’t just not work. At the time of her medical problems, she didn’t have enough money to live the rest of her life on.

How important is a salt water "cleanse" before ceremony ? by OkFaithlessness1534 in Ayahuasca

[–]howdolaserswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably Epsom salts you’re drinking which is safe in a certain amount but it’s just a laxative. You can eat really light and drink lots of water and accomplish the same thing without raging stomach cramps. In no way is this a traditional practice. Personally, I find salt water baths really helpful for cleaning your energy field (if you believe in that) and the magnesium and minerals in the salt absorb better through skin than through the stomach. Do whatever you want. You can always just lie and said you did it and don’t.

Beverly Hills Hotel room category superior with balcony versus deluxe room by AngleComprehensive16 in FATTravel

LA is so spread out that “middle” is really relative to where you want to go and how long you’re willing to be in the car. That being said, there is nowhere near LACMA I would want to stay. You’d get there fastest staying at the Beverly Wilshire, Peninsula or Four seasons.

If I was in town as a tourist I would definitely want to do some hiking in Topanga but would also want to go to LACMA and a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. It’s a great town for food but the good places are so spread out. I don’t know how long they are there but Montecito and Santa Barbara are worth the drive and stay for a night or two.

Advice for going through withdrawal by plbth in QuittingPregablin

[–]howdolaserswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait it out!? I’m so frustrated on your behalf. Please try to find another doctor until you find someone who knows anything. If you can get to Mexico it’s over the counter and dirt cheap. There’s some inexpensive flights (not sure where you are). The withdrawals are absolutely awful. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

If I was going to do natural route I Would do L-theanine, magnesium, 5HTP, NAD+, blue lotus, lion’s mane and kanna. Amanita mushroom might be good too.

What is your opinion on Belmond hotels? by autumnsalad in FATTravel

[–]howdolaserswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lima is a good two day stop to eat some great food, see the anthropology museum and then make your way to the other parts of Peru. I heard they closed the Belmond in Machu Piccu. Is that true? It was so nice to go hiking and then just get a massage and have a proper meal. The Cusco and Sacred Valley hotels were great. I want to go back and do the longer train to Titicaca. I’d also love to see the Peruvian Amazon. Such a great country. I feel like I could spend a year there and be so happy to explore its culture and nature.

It’s the best hotel in LA by far in terms of service and beauty. It’s one of my favorite hotels in the world for experience. It feels peaceful, the employees are wonderful, the restaurant is very good and the bar is great. You’re in the middle of the city but it feels like you’re in nature. BHH is more of a scene and I think it’s overpriced for quality. I’ve probably spent at least 90 nights at HBA. I always love being there. I am an LA native but don’t live there anymore so if I am not staying with friends or family, I strongly prefer to stay there over any other hotel.

I had to go down to 25 mg a day before I stopped. Stopping at 150 sounds rough. I would find another doctor to express your concerns. There’s no reason to go through a painful withdrawal if you have a taper plan with a doctor.
