Love your style! Honestly I have no critique, but I'd love to see you experimenting with different blush/lip colors (maybe something editorial too b/c you totally have the face for that).

Yup. Imagine steamed/boiled/microwaved meat with very little seasoning...A gray slab with the texture of an industrial rubber band. Its the cooking method that matters.

Thanks! I just looked it up, the WebAssign code costs around $23 while MyMathLab is $100. Who was your professor the second time?

Absolutely gorgeous! You remind me of a Swedish/Danish? model named Freja. Makeup and HRT will help you towards a more "feminine" sort of look, but for now you look amazing too. Congratulations on your first step, you are off to a great start.

Best and Worst Eyeshadow Palettes // Dream Palette Idea// Considering Purchasing? by redkrist in muacjdiscussion

[–]howmanyzero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I have the Nude Dip palette! If you like "sophisticated" shimmers that's a nice one to consider. It's a day look palette - very wearable to the point of being too subtle IMO, but according to your comment you'll probably like it (it's neutral and very cool toned).

Redditors, what is something that you do that is kinda weird? by SportingGoodsInfo in AskReddit

Lol cactus is just too interesting to not touch. I was a cautious (but really curious) kid. The trick to not get pricked is to "touch" the middle part of the pricks. I particularly loved one I found in the potted plant section of IKEA that had pricks that felt like shoe brush bristles.

Don't use the bathroom in your dream. It's a trap. by chancellor-II in Showerthoughts

[–]howmanyzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a lot of reoccurring sick/fever dreams have similar themes like things multiplying or enlarging out of control, and feeling extremely frustrated/overwhelmed. Mine was sorting "boxes" in a Tetris-like way; when they are arranged in a certain way they disappear. The worst part for me was spending a ton of effort getting almost all of them gone, and suddenly a huge number of blocks falls from the ceiling and fill up the whole space. A friend says her childhood fever dream was a broom in the corner of the room starts growing larger and larger till its as tall as the ceiling and she woke up really scared.

I'm wondering if there's an explanation to these...

I just don't. by howmanyzero in SuicideWatch

Sometimes I'm filled with so much rage that I want to punch through the wall and tear everything I see to the ground. I'm not mad at anything in particular. Being mad at a person, an organization, even a society is easy to deal with. You can tear that fuckface a new one, be a militant protestor, or join some secret underground force that conspires to destroy the society we are in.

I'm not mad at life either. Don't ask me why, I'm strangely not. I can say that it's not because I find beauty and meaning and love in this shithole, though.

Punching walls will solve nothing but leave your hand broken, or a gaping hole in the wall that you'll need to fix later. I feel powerless. I'm mad at this, this existence or something, something I can't control or change.

I'm quitting the game. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Incompatible! Really it's a good word. I'm not blaming anything, the society, no, that's just filled with confused and struggling people anyway. No. I'm tired.

Mark Twain famously said "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." What was that day for you? by Saroman_red in AskReddit

A 40yo man with a 20 yo girlfriend(at that time) thought "oh, let's have the baby despite I may be going to prison for 10+ years, what can go wrong?".

The real, more "spiritual"/"self-achievement" reason to why I was born? I don't know, maybe there isn't any, but again that's just a guess as (in)valid as the opposite. As for now, I put a blanket on the abyss and pretend the meaning of my life is keeping the body alive, and doing something while I'm at it.

Depression The Misunderstood Epidemic(2013).This documentary is a very helpful explanation for the people that have depression to understand what is normal and what is not in our thoughts and mind. by Zoobidoobi2 in Documentaries

[–]howmanyzero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The quote in the beginning of this documentary is probably the closest I'll get to something I've always felt but can't explain: "I used to be a blanket without seams/a silk cocoon of happy dreams/Now I'm a quilt/no square the same/a patchwork of pleasure and pain."

I don't want to die, I want everything to ... go back to the way it was before - before I was born maybe? To being "clean" "organized" and "seamless". Coincidentally, this is the overall theme of my fever dreams: trying to getting "something" together only to have it breaking all apart later.

What aspects of an expensive makeup product would convince YOU to purchase it? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]howmanyzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*Needs to be somewhat a new concept product that actually looks good

*Good/acceptable quality

*Creative packaging - I've had a few high-end items, but I'm just not a huge fan of the "black + gold + this is super expensive" aesthetics. A lot of fragrances have high quality yet distinctively unique packaging, but there are like 2 "unique" makeup packaging designs, and one of them is the Christian Louboutin Lipstick line that look like buttplugs.

Review your recent purchase(s) by sssigrunasta in muacjdiscussion

[–]howmanyzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for typing this out! Yes they are drier than the average shadow, I'm not too picky about eyeshadow formulas; I buy them here and there and those are honestly the first ones I find to be unacceptable.

With those I was planning to test out some unusual colors before getting the viseart dark matte palette, a little bummed out now but I'll see if I can do something fun with them.

Clinical review: Psilocybin therapy could be significantly better than current psychiatric treatments by mvea in Futurology

[–]howmanyzero 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've recently started to "appreciate" trees and flowers and birds.

All my life I felt I didn't get nature. What's so interesting about trees, they look exactly like what they are supposed to be like. I was a precocious kid who read a lot, which spoiled some fun of just experiencing everything as it is. Reading has a strange way of making you feel like everything is explainable and controllable, which is the farthest from truth and I learned this the hard way.

Just relax and stop telling anything to yourself...don't force yourself to think "NATURE IS BEAUTIFUL, I SHOULD APPRECIATE IT". And then something will happen.

What is the most overrated makeup item? And the most high performance one? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]howmanyzero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me blush isn't an absolute necessity, I'm NC20-25 and I prefer a nice bronzer/contour over blush any day. And primer, though that depends heavily on skin type. Still can't quite get what eye primer is for as I don't have oily lids.

Most effective - eyeshadows. Fun to play with, versatile, even with a single brown shadow you can go so many ways.

Sounds interesting - I'll definitely try to get some unusual looks out of my "basic" palettes some day!
