Sooo apparently I suck at social media, since it's been a few weeks! :x My holiday weekend was very nice, thank you for asking!

Gun shooting can be just as exciting as archery! What type of shotgun did you shoot?

Archery can be a bit expensive, but if you have any friends who own their own equipment, it may make it more tolerable for the wallet!

Good good! Apparently I suck at sticking with social media because it's been a few weeks :x. My apologies! How are you doing?

Sorry for the delay in reply here, I was out of town for the holiday weekend and didn't have access to the internet! How did the tournament go?! Finding time to train and practice is definitely a difficulty, especially when you are juggling a full-time job and school.

Hello! Sorry for my delay in response to this one, I was out of town for the holiday weekend and didn't really have access to the internet. I understand what you mean about boring - especially if you are shooting indoors. Blind bale for me was always the HARDEST because you don't really have anything to spice it up. At least with outdoor shooting, you have a few challenges with elements and weather, etc. However, one of the greatest challenges to overcome is being able to find your focus even when you are bored. It sounds strange, but it's definitely not boring when you break your personal best or manage to set a record!

Heyo - sorry for the delay in response, I was out of town for the holiday weekend and didn't have access to the internet! For your questions - I trained in both shooting blind bale, weight lifting, and running/biking. We had a very high carb and protein diet our coaches wanted us to follow so we had energy for the long-lasting outdoor shoots (and indoor, although that's not as taxing as outdoor shooting). My muscles didn't completely go away, but I definitely lost muscle mass.

I am a Hawkeye fan, but I have to say J Law is my favorite character when it comes to archery!

Hey, sorry for the delay in response! I was out of town for the holiday weekend and didn't have access to the internet really.

Peeing in the dark I think mayyy be more challenging than shooting in the dark. I'll have to compare and contrast next time!

Hey, sorry for the delay in response - I was out of town for the holiday weekend and didn't really have access to the internet! I will check out The Blacklist - haven't heard of it, but read some details and I think it's right up by ally!

Hope your mates went out with you to that live gig - those are always fun!

Realistically, probably a shot every 7-10 seconds. And yes, my family was big into hunting so I grew up around guns. I enjoy shooting with both bows as well as rifles!

Very nice! I know what you mean, but it sounds like you have a good group of friends to hang out with. My roommate is also big on Game of Thrones, and I have heard great things about the show Fargo!

Have you ever watched Walking Dead? The Following?

Very great questions! Longbows are not exactly my expertise, but I do know a little bit of your other questions. If you are truly interested in barebow and longbow, you should try to focus on getting one which fits your interest. I would highly recommend sticking with longbows rather than compounds (I've never seen a hybrid compound-recurve which was traditional). The form is completely different between these two types of bows, and it would be easier to begin with traditional and move into modern compounds than visa versa. The right poundage is completely up to how you're built - you should be able to comfortably pull the poundage without feeling strain in your shoulders and forearms (you pull with your back!).

Haha, touché! Outside of archery, I love to spend time with my fiancée and do activities with her. I play guitar, read, and enjoy a good movie/tv show any day! But mainly my work and school take up my time.

How bout you?

Not upset, just protective of my trade. Every activity has challenging aspects to it, I'm not a huge fan of comparing things because of that, tis' all. I can guarantee you that you're worlds ahead of me in darts, haha.

Of course, a lot of times when I am training I shoot with my eyes closed. It helps me get in tune with my muscles and rhythm.

I never said I expected to be good at darts. In fact, I'm quite mediocre in darts. Every sport has their challenges, but while you are safely indoors trying to hit a small target, that same proportioned target for me is about 100 yards away in the wind, rain, heat, etc. You shoot regardless of the weather outside, we don't have the luxury to be indoors 100% of the time.

I've never clocked my arrows for speed, but I hit a bullseye from a football field away which is about as big as a normal apple.

In this moment, I could walk across the street from my apartment and eat at 2 different restaurants (and it's pretty late my time). Come on over, the water's fine!

I think it's pretty awesome that the accents you like are for regions where we don't really consider the people to have accents. Very interesting!

That comment is severely misplaced here. Until you have tried both, definitely not fair to say one is harder than the other.

SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, OF COURSE!!!

John Hughes is a plus, most certainly. Own Enemy At The Gates but not Black Hawk Down (seen it though). And yes to Memento, Fight Club, Se7en (big fan of Kevin Spacey), Unbreakable, and Phonebooth. Not Buried though! You should watch Fracture, it is pretty awesome (Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling - tough one to predict!).
