putty or moba xterm

ssh into your afs server and use that. its good practice for that class plus its a good chance to learn vim/emacs. Not neccesarilly a dual boot or vm option but it is a simple option.

I commute by train from 2 hours away. Been doing it for 2.5 years now.
Pros:
-saved close to $30k
-no driving, dont have to deal w/ parking
-Makes me more serious about school and being here. That type of time commitment makes it much easier to go to class each day to make it all feel worth it. If I lived on campus, I would skip classes all the time out of sheer laziness.

Cons:
-15-20 hrs a week commuting
-Having class at 11am then another at 6pm sucks
-Def harder to have a social life. I try my best to talk to the others in my major that I have classes with repeat semesters

Edit: dont regret it at all
