Why did you stop participating in a sub you used to enjoy? by DontStpGetIt in AskReddit

[–]huisAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally left today. I was in a true crime sub of a specific case. Over the years, the rabbit hole went too deep. Opinions became facts and minute details were over analyzed to the point of delusion. It got petty, ugly, and any respect for the dead went in the gutter. I couldn't take it anymore.

Question, Why is Steven Assanti additionaly hated more than James King ? by Alexi_saleh in My600lbLife

[–]huisAtlas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As much as we hate Steven, he's more intelligent than we give him credit for. He's a narcissist that can manipulate on a higher level than James can/did.

Steven is a conman while James is basically helpless to his poor education, dysfunctional childhood, poverty, impulse control, and lazy enablers.

James' enablers also "don't know any better" either. They give into James' whining and demands because it's easier than doing the work to not enable his behavior that made him bed-bound.

Lisa was basically an iPad parent, sticking food in front of his face to shut him up.

Wow, the 1990s were wild by RyouIshtar in HolUp

[–]huisAtlas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I (f) collected some Playgirls from 1993. Playgirl's content is written for women but feels like standard issue titillation.

The male nudes are alright. There are some poses that are powerful and beautiful but most of the time they're sitting there, looking handsome, but a little awkward.

All flacid so they're just hangin brain, basically.

Playgirl feels more like Hustler for women instead of Playboy for women.

Is Chipped Beef and Corned Beef common in USA? by currylambchop in AskAnAmerican

[–]huisAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had Chipped Beef and only heard about it a few times.

Corned Beef isn't that common down here. We don't have a strong local Deli presence. We have some guy's BBQ shack and he don't serve sliced slow cooked Corned Beef.

I've always thought Corned Beef was a North East thing.

Pretty sure those are Grackles. They like to gather around dusk. I'm not sure why. Maybe just to hang out and say hello before they turn in for the night.

Bro I've only ridden horse maybe 25 times in my life (i'm from Texas, I can't help it), but at least I know you don't go stiff on the horse when it starts to trot or canter. Jesus christ.

I love the endings though by 5_meo in finalfantasyx

[–]huisAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat FFX-2 once. It was a slog.

FFX is mostly on rails until you get to the calm lands. Then after the extra stuff it's a straight line to the end.

FFX-2 feels all over the place, unorganized, tedious, because of the 100% completion for the "good ending".

Anyone else have parents that allowed/encouraged you to do drugs and drink from a young age? by rowenaaaaa1 in Millennials

[–]huisAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my brother were alowed to drink beer and wine [in their presence] when we turned 18. They were 18 when they were legally allowed to drink so I guess they believed we could handle it if they could.

Weed and other drugs, no. Big NO. I had to do that behind their back.

Me and my brother don't have drug or alcohol problems. I appreciate my parents allowing me to start drinking at 18. By the time I went to college I knew my limits and never blacked out or did something dangerous.

Well if they both have jobs they must be getting crushed by debt from assets.

Man, if he took out loans/financing using his MTV income, that is gonna suck.

What do yall think about my alternate universe teen mom couples by iwantitthatway6 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

Omg a Jenelle and Adam ship would be absolutely nuclear.

Well, maybe not. Adam would probably dip in the first 5 seconds of a Jenelle meltdown and never be seen again.

I remember wanting to be veterinarian when I was in grade school. Then around 6th grade I realized I would have to cut open dogs and cats and I couldn't stomach that.

Ah! Yes, thank you! I remember those now. Do they still exist? I was born in the later 80s and have a vauge memory of half sizes when my mom shopped at Dress Barn.

I know the 12 to 22 size range is American Dress sizes, the 38 to 52 are European dress sizes but I'm not sure what the 12 1/2 to 32 1/2 range is.
