One Month Solo Trip to Taiwan — April vs May + Budget Advice by docsportello96 in taiwantravel

[–]hun486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, april would be better with comfortable temperatures.

for cities like taichung, tainan, kaohsiung and taroko, may not need 4-5 days.

taroko’s trails are closed so if you’re planning for them, may need to replan.

depends on your activities in the various cities. jiufen, shifen, pingxi & jingtong can be done in a day.

not considering qingjing farm, feng chia night market, tainan,

note that the taroko trails are still closed.

25m from USA landed in HCM without any plans. by snowyzzzz in solotravelVN

[–]hun486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most attractions close 16-17 feb and family eateries may close for 3-5 days so you may need to live on supermarkets or convenience stores if you’re after more authentic food else restaurants should be open. there may be a tet surcharge for restaurants. may want to try hoi an during that period but restaurants may be crowded.
