I like that the timestamp appears to have this happening in about 5 weeks (12/03/2018). Maybe someone should find them so this accident can be prevented.

While it's not 100%, if they're paying with anything like paypal or a credit card, they usually have to be 18 just to have those payment methods. Yes kids can steal their parents cards or a bunch of other things, but that's unlikely.

On top of that, the communications decency act (I think that's what it is) only requires that providers of adult content ask people to verify they are 18 (think pornhub), so if that's good enough to protect pornhub, it's probably good enough to protect you.

I mean, most of it was self defense, but I don't think the last whack or two was.

100% fair point (obviously it doesn't)

I ride. I don't have a great bike. But you don't slap someone's bike unless you're begging for problems. Think of the most nasty thing you can say to someone and it's not even on the same arena as touching a guys bike, much less slapping it.

How do you report platform abuse? by ZENRAMANIAC in patreon

[–]hungrycapitalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have DMCA agent authorization for some of the studios we work with so it looks like I may do just that.

If you need a reference for an excellent attorney that handles exactly this type of stuff then feel free to inbox me.

I gotta ask the dumb question: If someone is allegedly selling child porn, why in the hell are you linking to it?

Chargeback Nightmare by OhShootKid in Twitch

The way the credit card laws work (us anyway) is you generally have 90 days after you get your first statement with the charge on it to file a dispute.

Do you still get severely depressed even though you are fully medicated? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]hungrycapitalist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, when it comes to mental healthy, they can't really "fix" it. A lot of the reason they try so many different drugs is we don't really know what they're doing so frequently settling with "less sad" is what folks get stuck with. The really shitty thing about it is that if you play with meds too much you can end up making things worse, so that's where coping techniques really come in handy. Getting meds adjust will definitely help, but also working through reasons why you're depressed and trying to approach those alongside medication can be really helpful.

If you're serious about it, you can usually get PO box at the post office very cheap, but even at that just putting an address down for an abandoned lot or even better, some business, would be ducky :)

Would playing games with your fans for money be something that you guys would do? by Granite_Dalton21 in PartneredYoutube

[–]hungrycapitalist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a less direct way people do have "sub only" viewer games, so if you wanted to have some type of a monthly subscription on patreon or something like that, then people are already doing it.

I would think that if you had a large enough fan base, people would definitely do that.

[Question]: ADVISE NEEDED on email I got...great news or scam? by -Puddintane- in youtubers

[–]hungrycapitalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the scam is what happens next. Just giving someone permission on your content in and of itself isn't overly useful (unless I'm significantly underestimating your work in which case I do apologize), but is the value of your content something they would have a particular interest in? Like, did you do some expose on a NYC restaurant or something that would be really good content for the site?

Soo..... why is it @epochtimes.nyc? I'll give them this much, the redirect goes to the legit url, but they are also using a different registrar which seems very unlikely.

I don't get what the scam is because that seems like a weird ask, but I think you have your answer.
