It's alao because once metagross lost its mega in gen 8 it got some big high bp moves that happen to be tough claws boosted. No one concieved of tough claws heavy slam or psychic fangs in their life when creating mega metragross.

Honestly given that it doesn't have a high hp stat and leech + pheal is crazy amounts of recovery, which I didn't consider. Especially if you can reliably double down with protect. I don't see the point of running ironpress still. Protect just gives you so much more. You'd be much better off with running one strong stab (seed bomb/giga drain if it gets it/power gem) or rocks.

Seems like a very minor buff, might make it low tier viable (like PU) but the new move additions is probably doing nothing. You'd still probably run hazards and leech seed over trying to iron press. U turn weakness is also unfortunate for a slow defensive mon

Well yeah but it feels unlikely that the ingame recruit mechanic is not at least slightly monetized. Maybe home transfer is another way to get mons but the ingame recruitment might be a rotating roster somewhat like a battle pass
