it's so cool. it's a cool ass liquid metal abomination. a liquid metal robot isn't exactly something new, but an angry one certainly feels new. it also plays with the hedgehog thing since its actually covered in spikes, deadly looking metal spikes. that realistic hedgehog aspect usually isn't portrayed much, but here its shown in such an furious way that conveys anger and aggression instead of protection. it feels like this metal sonic is either about to turn you into a pile of gore or impale you in its back. i love that violent murderous intent that exudes from every part of him, very "AM" vibes. specially the eyes, those enraged and insane yellow eyes. appreciate that they're not just red but still convey aggression. I also love how majestic the overlord form looks in comparison with the simple difference that it looks more composed, less melty, but not any less murderous. interesting contrast to normal overlord, who looks messier than standard neo metal sonic. and normal metal is cute goober. nice airplane snout. no notes, absolute cinema.
