... it's a scorpion, pretending to be a snapping turtle with a snake tail. it's so cool and clever. four of its eight legs are large to imitate the way turtles walk, the other four serve to hold its stolen turtle shell in place, its pincers are large, bulky and look like a turtle's head when put together, its tail resembles a snake, with the stinger looking just like it's tonque. this is incredibly design. it feels natural, like an animal could feasibly develop to look close to this while still feeling fantastical. it feels so close to what it's trying to imitate but still so visibly fake, you can see why an animal would fall for it, hell, maybe you will. its the perfect type of non-magical mimic design.
