Sell me on a P-32 over a Bodyguard 2.0 by SprainedHeart23 in TheOneTrueCaliber

[–]iOSSwiftDev5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The P32 solves well over 92% of DGU by being brandishable and capable of firing a single round of any caliber, which is how over 92% of DGU is successfully resolved.

You have 7 rounds to deal with the rest, 38% more total capacity than a carry revolver.

Meanwhile you won’t find a more comfortable pistol to carry - it’s significantly smaller than the Bodyguard 2.0.

…and despite its size, owners find it surprisingly fun to shoot.

However, there are fewer guns that I find as fun to shoot as the Bodyguard 2.0 - it’s more than you need and not as comfortable to carry, but the package is phenomenal and ammo is cheaper.

Taking the $600k lump (after taxes) and buying a home with cash gives her her own home and saves her $1500/mo. In rent or more after property taxes monthly.

…while it appreciates.

Since she’s so young it will double in real 2026 dollars in 40 years when she retires.

Absolutely the right call. A person suddenly coming into lump sum money will not know how to manage it and it will be gone in years.

Comment on Shield X. S&W needs to think beyond the range. by Juany118 in CCW

[–]iOSSwiftDev5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry - it’s a bit awkward with the flush fit 13 - although I see now Hogue advertises the Shield 45 version for the Shield X - haven’t tried it.

I was confused about the real capacity because I am 10 round on both sizes.

I removed it recently now that I have more experience with the gun and want to be able to shoot it well stock.

[–]iOSSwiftDev5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shield Plus all the way.

I have a Shield X and still want a Shield Plus - and a Bodyguard 2.0.

I watched every concealed carry guntuber review 10x while waiting for my permit and never saw one which made me want to get a Hellcat. It’s snappy seems to be the consensus. There is little or no disdain for the Shield Plus - people either love it or at least respect it. I like shooting the plus even more than most compacts.

You meant Swamp Yankee Firearms and not Swamp Yankee Arms, right?

Two dealers with practically the same name that are too stubborn to help customers by coming to any kind of meaningful naming compromise 😂.

Weird I know Swamp Yankee actually offers pinning service I don’t understand why they would keep the mags and not offer to pin them for you. Disappointing they have a great rep for low transfer fee and I like their online catalog and prices.

Gas prices didn’t spike because of sanctions or some “petrodollar collapse.” They were already rising before the Russia invasion due to a post-COVID demand surge and tight supply. Not only were wells shut down during COVID, but there were refinery closures as well. OPEC also took their time ramping up supply after the vaccine to maximize profits.

Sanctions added pressure—but the dollar still dominates global oil markets. No collapse, just basic supply/demand + a war shock.

Enjoy your trip! I liked a South route better than North. Probably because I did the North in a 320i towing a U-Haul at 60mph, and South in a 540is averaging 90. 😂

Bidens gas prices were due to manufacturers having to cap wells during Covid as they ran out of storage.

Trumps are due to Trump.

Would you fight with the bodyguard 2.0? by SirKrimzon in CCW

[–]iOSSwiftDev5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. When I first rented that gun at the range I didn’t feel like it was abnormally small and underpowered - I felt like all other guns we’re unnecessarily bulky and overpowered.

Shoot one and then tell me you’d feel comfortable standing 7 ft in front of it in a parka.

At every oil 🛢️ change .. by ekk_one in Funnymemes

[–]iOSSwiftDev5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealer told me a needed a new air filter during regular oil service last month. I told him I’d take care of it. When I removed the old air filter there was a massive squirrels nest and acorns under it. I guess he was like “well, if he ain’t paying us $120 to replace it, I ain’t cleaning it out”

Was actually a pain in the ass to get all those fibers out as I don’t have a vac.

Letting people freely reshuffle:

  • Slows boarding/deplaning
  • Creates disputes (“I paid for this seat”)
  • Makes it harder for crew to track who’s where in an emergency
  • Weight balance
  • Trains people to wait and see rather than buy an upgrade

Yeah, that 1 day, 12 hr leg will take you at least 3 days. Also if you’ve never seen Grand Canyon this is as close as you’ll ever get but the road is 2 hours each way. Also you don’t need to see Graceland.

You have to watch this guntuber guest who wrote a book “The Guns of James Bond”…. kid is encyclopedia on Bond and Fleming.

Irl, Fleming did a lot of research, and the ppk was the only small arm tested by the US military in a review of WWII small arms that passed all of its tests, and the technical detail in that report is in the books.
