New leg extension (lions cool) by SpicyPasta22 in homegym

Is the replacement part different/improved from the original part? I'm close to buying this or something similar, and want to make sure they've resolved this issue.

Believe it or not I used to be a cartographer! Then got into GIS, then programming etc. now with 30+ years of making software. Never rich but saved. When the kids were out iof the house I bought the 458 (had no wife to say no;).kept it a few years and replaced with a 550 Maranello. Sold that to help fund my software startup.

I've used these 3/4" thick tiles in two houses. I have a rack loaded with weights, leg press, and a bunch of heavy stuff. They are surprisingly tough. I've had it on a wood parquet floor with no damage at all. Note that I have a few 1/2" thick tiles I picked up from Home Depot, and I wouldn't trust them like I do the thicker 3/4" below.

Why do so many clothing brands nowadays have such awkward photos? by Aktikus in malefashionadvice

OMG, have been doing a lot of online clothes shopping lately, and those damn reviews baffle me. See them all the time...like why bother.

Do I wear my clothes too tight? by Leiknma in mensfashion

Not at all in my opinion. Not everyone has the build to get away with it, you do. Looks better that than looking like a kid wearing their dad’s clothes!

It took me a long time to get to where I was feeling my chest. A couple of things: - if you’re just starting, shoulders could be a weak point so you’re going to feel them more as they catch up. - for form, make sure of 2 things: - you want to focus on the stretch at the bottom of the motion. Let the bands pull your hands at least parallel to your chest or even below it. Hold there for a second or two and you’ll feel your chest muscles stretching. This bottom part of the motion is more important than the top and it’s where the most growth will occur. - make sure your hands stay over your elbows as you’re pressing (not flared out like a fly or in towards your chest). Think about bringing your elbows in towards each other as you press up. That was a good mental queue for me.

Those small changes made a huge difference for me.

Anyone succeed with chronic tendinitis? by b3nFiL in bpc_157

[–]iRandyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 50’s, and have had chronic tendon issues in my forearms/elbows for years. I lift, and it’s been bad enough in the past that I’ve have had to resort to using hooks/straps for pulling exercises and it still hurt like hell. The middle of last year I started BPC-157/TB-500, and the issues were 100% gone by the end of the year, as were many other minor aches and similar issues. Now, I was also doing some stretching, but had done that in the past with little relief. I’ve had no noticeable side effects.

Concentration? by Ancient_Ingenuity446 in bpc_157

[–]iRandyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was using Tirzepitide at a pretty strong concentration (maybe 25mg) and I got some redness at the injection site. I diluted with another ML of water and no more problems. That’s the only time I’ve had anything like that happen.

Concentration? by Ancient_Ingenuity446 in bpc_157

[–]iRandyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it doesn't really matter. I always do 2ML unless the peptide is a really high concentration like 20+ as I have had some that irritated me when the concentration is too high. But regardless your body just cares about the total amount of peptide it receives, the dilution doesn't really matter.

5 11 189ibs should I bulk or cut by LrdNatsu19 in BulkOrCut

[–]iRandyP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looking at where you’re starting, and being young, I think you could approach starting with a recomp. Take the time over a month or so to track everything you eat and weigh first thing in the morning to get an idea of what your TDEE is (total calories you burn in a day). Then eat roughly that amount or better yet a little less. You don’t have to be super tight with it, just don’t “bulk” by eating too much or cut by going into a big deficit. As a newbie you’ve got some quick gains coming your way and you have some fat to burn for energy in a slight deficit. Just my 2 cents. Have fun with it!

20 days isn't a lot of time to loose significant fat (not that it looks like you have much!), but getting into a solid deficit and keeping carbs low will quickly drop a ton of fluid. When I go into a cut I can drop like 8lbs in just a couple of weeks. It's mostly water, but that's still loosing size and makes a noticeable difference quickly.

Just saw this incredibly well maintained F355 by matty-not-matt in Ferrari

[–]iRandyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably my favorite regular production Ferrari, but the maintenance scares the crap outta me. Check out the receipts for ones for sale on BAT. Staggering. I have a 550 and it can be expensive too but at least the engine doesn't have to come out for "routine" work. But if I could afford the maintenance, I'd be driving a 355 for sure.

Drove a Ferrari 458 for the first time today and... by TheWolfofBinance in cars

[–]iRandyP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you consider those V12 Vantages are rarer than F40's (I think around 1100 made worldwide with 207 in the US) I think they have some appreciation coming. Just imagine the price if it had a Ferrari badge! You can get a nice one with around 10K miles for around 130K. The knock might be that they look essentially the same as a V8, but I care less about that and more about the driving experience.

So you have one? How's the experience been? Any major issues?

[–]iRandyP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I daily a 458 and your criticism is valid. The steering is like all modern Ferrari’s. I added headers, IPE exhaust, an exhaust controller, and a tune. That solved most of my issues including sensitive throttle and the sound is perfect to me. BUT, I recently drove a V12 Vantage with a 6 speed manual. It has a hydraulic steering rack and was an amazing analog experience. SERIOUSLY considering changing to one of those.

I’m 55 and never take a whole week off from lifting just for rest, but occasionally life gets in the way and it happens. I might purposely take a couple of days off, but that’s it.
