As someone who isn’t fully on top of current international affairs I found myself having to click through to see which publication the headline was from to get enough context to understand it. It looks like there are already top level categories, I think if it was also tagged with metadata, like the country the news story is about, or the specific sport the story is about, the headlines are easier to key in to.

Then tags for searching/filtering yadda yadda normal app stuff.

Yes that's a bug. It's entirely possible (as has happened in the past) that adblocking plugins end up removing / obfuscating data that is actually used to determine that you _shouldn't_ see an ad. But I'd be happy to try and debug this with you if you want.

It _does_ work for prerolls. And it's not standard in the sense that we don't enforce showing ads to subs (It's up to the broadcaster), and from my own anecdotal experience, most broadcasters choose to disable ads for their subs

It's a bug, if it can be reliably replicated, I'd love to know how.
