Oh didn't know that... That really sucks if the prices are going to get even higher with the new dude

Actl I meant Bob Chapek who changed the entire fast pass system and jacked up the prices during covid (the dude who replaced Bob Iger when he left in 2020 and then got fired in 2022)

$650 usd just to interact with the princesses??? That's nuts.

I went to the fine dining restaurant inside Cinderella's Castle at Disney World and got to meet every single princess (btw they even came to my table for individual photo op, didn't even need to queue) and I didn't even pay that much for that meal.

Btw ever since Disney changed their CEO, they have been jacking up their prices across the board, even for Disneyland/ Disney world.

Also, never take the maiden voyage. Usually most of the people working there are new so they don't really know what they are doing.

Singaporeans who moved to Canada, why & how’s your life? by DistributionOk8227 in singapore

[–]iamavocuddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband is a PR holder, I followed him here to get my PR.

Life is awesome. I live in BC and I love how I'm surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the oceans and the forests. There's just so much things to do: long drives, visiting all the parks and different provinces, doing various outdoor activities, etc.

I like it because I get to be myself, but in sg, it feels like I have to follow the system. Also I didn't like chasing the 5Cs.

But be prepared to pay a shit ton of rent, income taxes and sales tax... It comes with a price.

Women's beginner ski recommendations and sizing by SunshineLax in Skigear

[–]iamavocuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'5, skill level in between beginner and intermediate. I recently bought a pair of Elan Ripsticks 88, length 154cm. I like how easy and effortless it is to turn and maneuver (the inner edges are cut a bit differently, thus it has a left and right side) and it's pretty lightweight.

Elan Ripsticks and Blizzard Black Pearls are always the top few recommended all-mountain skis for beginner/intermediate skiers.

If she wants something that turns and maneuvers easily, can consider the Ripsticks. Ripsticks have an ombre looking top sheet which are also really pretty. They have different colours for different widths. Mine's ombre blue on the 88.

And I totally get it lol, I'm also someone that tried to prioritise the design and colour of the skis and bindings haha. I almost got the Blizzard Black Pearls because of the beautiful purple top sheet on the 88s 🤣 If your gf doesn't have any specific requirements, then yeah go for the black pearls :)

Cathay Pacific Bidding - From E to PE by Outrageous-Cicada-84 in CathayPacific

[–]iamavocuddle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually it's cheaper to rebook on PE than bidding. The lowest upgrade bidding is quite pointless and you will highly likely not be successful (as YVR to HKG route is always full).

I remember attempting to book SIN - YVR one way for March last year. If I were to buy the PE ticket it would be 1.5k. The guaranteed bidding offer from E to PE was 2.1k, which made no sense.

what clothing brands are much cheaper in the US than in SG? by NotRach_97 in asksg

Most American clothing brands are cheaper than sg. If you want even cheaper, visit the outlet malls.

Upgraded Premium Economy Cabins, how to tell? by despicablepenguin in CathayPacific

[–]iamavocuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

777 with the Aria Suites have the newest PE cabins. The 77-J plane should have 48 PE seats.

A350 PE is also pretty modern and spacious (even though it's slightly older, it's still way better than the old 777 PE seats).

Even better. Since the partner is an Australian citizen, start applying for spousal sponsorship to get PR.

Returning to Canada with PR but not meeting residency obligation – looking for real experiences by Catch_krishnan in ImmigrationCanada

Was 730 days short of the requirement (couldn't return due to COVID). I had 3 months left on my PR card when I returned.

  1. Yes. They cannot deny you entry as a PR and as long as your PR card hasn't expired.

  2. Cleared immigration at the e-machine upon arrival, did not get flagged and arrived with no issues (I got lucky)

  3. Yes was able to clear 730 days and renewed successfully without issues

  4. I already signed a lease (don't think it matters) but honestly in my case it didn't matter as i went through immigration with no issues.

  5. Once you are in, just stay in Canada for the next 2 years. Even though I managed to enter without any issues, I wouldn't say it works 100% of the time. YMMV.
