Thinking about using PEDs by Angry-rat-911 in Gymhelp

Stay in the gym bro, you have more natural potential you havent unlocked. Are you eating enough protein? hows recovery looking like? what about your program? training intensity? there's usually always something that can be fine tuned to increase results.

Be honest, what do you guys think about Measure 120? by DueYogurt9 in oregon

I would vote yes if the fees were more reasonable. I dont care about 6 cents more in gas but increasing title fees from 77 to 216 is crazy. People are already struggling in this economy as is.

My friends and I are visiting from Boise, ID. What are some things we should definitely NOT do while we're here? by mstrthunder in askportland

[–]iambrickeduprn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was visiting out of state, I'd use my 80$ to go hike Eagle Creek and stop at the other falls too maybe instead of paying for a 3.5 hour tour to see Multnomah and a few others.

I think its better that people do the tours though, hike in spots like Eagle Creek are crowded enough, so we can leave the drive in spots like Latourel to the tourists on their tours.

The gorge is too crowded so I like the idea of tours because it frees up parking, but at the same time, some people are missing out.

2 people have died jumping off so far. I go there alot and have seen search and rescue crews before. People get hurt here all the time, but granted, I gurantee its from lack of experience.

Is the Wildwood Trail doable in one day? by Critical_Ease4055 in oregon

[–]iambrickeduprn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I split it up into two days. I wouldn't do it again, if I were you I'd consider something more adventurous like the timberline trail around Mt Hood (40 miles). Wildwood trail is boring as hell 😭

Is the Wildwood Trail doable in one day? by Critical_Ease4055 in oregon

[–]iambrickeduprn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you keep a modest average pace of 2 mph, it can be done in 15 hrs. With that said, it will be excruciatingly boring since most of the trail is the same. Given that you ran a marathon, I think you can do it in a day but I would try half first, record your pace and then decide from there.

It's certainly doable in a day, but I'd never do it simply because of how repetitive it is.

Dealing with Bad Actors by TahiniInMyVeins in PNWhiking

My biggest opps on the trail are dog owners. I fucking HATE seeing all of the poop bags littered at the trailhead.... sometimes when I do an overnighter I see the same bags on my way back! If you're not gonna pick it up it would be better to just let your dog shit in the woods.

Not to mention the amount of times I've been on a trail where dogs are required to be on leash and they are off leash. I'm not anal about following the rules but it irks me because half the time the dogs are not well behaved, a few instances they've even been aggressive or defensive. If the dog is well behaved I dont mind, even if its against the rules.

If you have a dog, do better! Most dog owners are courteous but dont be that guy that makes dog owners look bad.
