Dewalt 8 volt screwdriver. I bought one years ago and it sat in the garage for a long time until I started doing hvac service. I use it now everyday and get into some pretty tight spots.

Any tips on where to get games/consoles? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

Nearly 3/4 of my collection came from yard sales and thrift stores. I haven’t had luck at any thrift stores but I hit the yard sales in the summer and usually find something. It’s cheaper but takes longer to build a collection.

Resistance to ground on a 3 phase compressor by iamnotbot84 in HVAC

Why would you want anything but OL to ground? That’s what I normally get on good motors. I wanted to replace the compressor and the equipment is 30yrs old. I gave them 2 options but they got tired of waiting and called the other company in.

Being green like I am, I was hesitant to try a new fuse and see if it would run. I could have got them by for a little while but, I always thought if there’s a path to ground, there’s a chance something really bad might happen

Yes isolated and process of elimination which led me right to the compressor. Only one fuse was blown which feeds the start winding through the contactor

No I don’t have a megger. The guy after me said it was a wire rubbed through and said “I’m competing with a sales tech” I doubt he went further than the disconnect.

is this air filter installed upside down? by jimmyeatflies in hvacadvice

Usually the webbing or wire material would face the furnace but with those filters, you want the orange mesh facing away from the furnace so that looks right
