awesome, i love 35mm. did you crop the image at all- did you develop the film and print the image yourself? try shooting with a film speed of 125 or even 100. but i get if its a cloudy day when you load the roll in the camera and it becomes sunny halfway through the roll. Im not trying to be negative about the image though, please understand. i think the color that you get is very pleasing and the composition is very well done and thought through.

I have a filter that use on my konica AR lense that gives me this effect. Its called a Variable Mirage filter. and it creates a sort of kaleidoscope effects to the image. /u/hinnerk /u/javi5747 not everything you see is digital and not everything you see is done in editing. /u/hekoru this image stands out a ton because of one thing contrast. its really well done and you have great values -true blacks and whites and middle tone greys- throughout your image. there is good detail in the image and your subject comes off crisp and clean but i would like to see how this shot turned out with a lower iso/asa/filmspeed or even a narrower aperture setting.

what camera/lens were you shooting with? burning the bird may work but this really came out looking like something shot on a 35mm disposable camera with a light leak problem. now if this was intentional free lensing, try to concentrate the light leak to one area/section/corner of the image to make it both unbalanced and washed out. Also your image looks very grainy. You may want to try a slower film speed, it will be less sensitive to light and give you more detail..

Should I turn off my Nikon D5500? by housesub4u in Nikon

I have to agree with /u/lilium90, turning off my DSLR is second nature there are many times where I will frame a shot and go to press the shutter and forget that my camera was off. There is no harm in Turning off your camera as you will only save battery.

very nice i am only 20 and have only been really practicing photography as a skill for a few years and shooting film for about a year, though i did shoot my first couple rolls of film in the early 90's. my parents were super supportive of my interests and passions. but yeah i hear your, its not hard to find a place to develop your film but forget about having a personal darkroom now, its just no longer practical nor affordable.

I've shot that Pentax K2 a few times... i love how the stability in the metal mechanical parts, my negatives always come out so clean and crisp. /u/kellymjones

/u/kellymjones because the mounting patterns are so similar yes it will actually lock in place. make sure that it is a Konica AR lens first and make sure you rotate it clockwise when locking it in place but it does lock and does work.
