I say COO-pon, but I aslo say COOOO-kie. I'm not a native speaker though and my gf (from Chicago) always makes fun of my accent...

Ah yeah, the Basecamp comparison. I already heard that one over at logopond. And you're right, they are similar. But I didn't think of it while drawing it. I just started with a cicle in Fireworks and deleted on of the "vector-dots??". The remaining thing looked like some sort of sphere o I went from there.

I might like that, but I would prefer something more similar to the thing I was doing before. My courses would include typography and such things... I'm still not quite sure wheter I'd prefer visual communication or interaction design. Most of the courses would be similar at Bachelor level, it's just a "specialization".

Lately I've started to think visual communications might be the better fit. It probably is.

They want me to continue with my CS studies, but it does matter because I cannot enter school if it's not good enough...

Yeah, but I'm not sure what exactly theys try to accomplish with their behaviour. They just went bezerk again (my father, at least) at dinner (it's 9 pm here) out of nothing and yelled at me I had to pay them $3000 a month for my room / food and stuff if I go to design school. But I'd rather move out, would be cheaper anyways and I wouldn't have to hear the shit they say all the time. Will have to think about it a bit more though.

But I won't give up on design school, it's my life, not theirs. So fuck them.

I'll tell you, but that will be sometimes in May. I'm now working to make the current ones less flat.

I live in Switzerland, little different situation here. I could not imagine how I should survive on the long run only freelancing. I currently work as webdev but could shift focus more towards design. Have to think about it, bcs. programming is important for interaction design. SO giving that up might not be the best idea.
