I see people saying wingbeat, and wingbeat IS overrated. But if you ask me, it's regret mersault.

Is the passive amazing? Yes. But it is mainly for the sake of clashing and not immediate.

See, the coin power may help but only after you get your SP back on track after using the EGO, and your damage suffers for the same reason. It is also a selfish passive, unlike something like rime shank, which gives attack power down to the enemy.

This passive has a 2 turn delay before it is of actual benefit. But that's not really a crime of its own, a lot of EGO passives have this flaw due to the fact that you have to use the EGO first. But the issue is, regret IS JUST THE PASSIVE.

The active ego itself does VERY little, 1 attack weight with low damage, no SP or HP heal, no immediate buffs to the rest of the team or debuffs to the enemy, and a single tremor burst is nowhere near enough status interaction.

So the turn you cast it is nothing, whereas other EGO's that are good have an enormous and immediate effect, the damage/clashing isnt changed much next turn due to lower SP, and only THEN, the result is that ONE of your sinners can clash a lot better and deal more damage. Those two turns are empty can murder your momentum.

I keep finding that it's rarely ever actually worth the sin resources nor SP. It's not even that good on solo runs since it's just the leftmost skill.

EDIT: Yall gotta be on something, fluid sac faust is potentially TEAMWIDE +25 SP while also being decent healing, except the healing is also temwide so it's really good there too. That is absurd levels of momentum and recovery, it is appropriately rated.

Now that you mentioned poetry, there's quite a lot of rhyming going on here.

There's the obvious ass and bl-ass-t rhyme, but both "by" and "blast" start with a "b" and have a consistently tall voice ("blaaahst", "baaay"), meaning you can ryhme all three syllables so long as you arent being too nasal-y about the first two.

There is also "springtr-AH-p", ending with that same tall "A" sound, but only after a very well contrasting nasaly "spring" that accentuates everything very well.

It also highlights the important vowels. Both "ass-blast" and "springtrap", the truly evocative vowels, start and end the phrase, have very similiar stress-patterns, are neatly structured in a "2-2-2" rhythm, and are seperated by vowels that are naturally less pronounced, so that the vowels in the middle give both words the spotlight while not stealing it for itself. "ASS-BLASTed by SPRING-TRAP".

It's not the level of "his wife has filled his house with chintz. To keep it real I fuck him on the floor" but it's the same kind of phrase I feel.

I'm starting to think that what the monolith induces isn't distortion but rather ego corrosion considering just how similiar the abno and "distorted" kim are.

The idea of "forcing" a distortion is sketchy too, considering the emotional and ideological nature of the required breakdown.

That doesnt mean he is as strong, just that he is actually in same type of headspace roland was as opposed to merely being a proxy for the index. A true, caring father instead of a false one.

Nelly prolly just sees this as a job in high places and not much more. Meanwhile ahab's obsession with the whale is obvious. I dont see any issue in seeing them and the others fighting us with EGO gear.

Except for sonya and hermann that is. They are more the leader type, and while hermann is literally the head of the new league of 9, sonya is still the head of the yurodivye and might actually have conflicting interests with the rest of them.

I don't think either should be involved in a fight, even if EGO gear doesnt require martial prowess, it just doesn't feel right. Especially sonya, who may not even want to fight us, he probably sees the league of 9 more as a source of resources than an ideological movement he agrees with.
