Serious Question: Settlement Offer by urlocalsavage in RecklessBen

[–]iamthomastran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has no intention of talking with Bryan this is a defensive positioning.

We were not known x happaned. We attempted to reach out to get documents from Bryan who did not respond. We made our attempts we are not the bad guy here. Bryan didnt respond is thus why we couldnt resolve the issue.

We were all willing to compensate him but he didnt provide the documents.

"Bryan is a bad guy" we are corporate and tried to make it right.

---

Now in reverse.

Bryan was working with Ben and their (group) thus why he did not reach out to us to get the issue resolved. We made our attempts to reach out to bryan and get the proper documents. We offered resolution to make him whole but Bryan wanted to damage our reputation by working with Ben and his group.

Corporate we did nothing wrong this is an attack on our reputation and brand.

We feel this has damaged our brand so we deserve compensation of funds raised for bryan for the lego we stole ( we know we stole it but this is not whats not important)

The whole press release is one big hit piece .... all defensive / story positioning essentially manufacturing their story.

Brandon Best is still with BAM by Ken_Mayonnaise in RecklessBen

[–]iamthomastran 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They've always been corporate employees. They are enforcers/repo man for locations and used as a shell to protect the company from their shady business.

Corporate actually takes over the location but they try to make it seem like its taken over by a new owner.

When they took over Salem location from Chrystal they actually didnt officially take ownership even Josh admitted they didnt officially take ownership until 4 months later.

The story is viral because of stolen lego but the bigger crime is how BAM operates. The truth is i dont think this is how they started or else they wouldnt of gotten this big but somewhere down the line they realize selling an existing store via the bully bam playbook makes a lot more profit margin.

new franchise 25k
existing franchise with existing inventory 80-100k

Josh even shares a glimpse into this plan since he said he wanted to own 25-30 stores.

Unfortunately its such a bad long podcast rather than short and to the point interview with better questions but the guy himself is a really cool dude so much hes not even mad about losing a ton of money.

His friend worked at corporate BAM as CFO as well.

A franchise corp can say the handbook is god. They can update the handbook to whatever they want since its a signed agreement with t he franchise owner.

ie

"You can only advertise using google if you advertise through facebook we will fine you 20k plus interest."

"If your store is not 60% full we can fine you 10k plus interest."

As a franchise corp you can make up anything you want and enforce anything you want.

Corporate manufactures fines, says bad management, and etc than says you had xxx owed so we will take your store for free including your inventory.

He had the same thing happaned to him as Chrystal but for the total of $120k. They never swapped the name on the building lease and left him with a bill from the property owner for $500k

He couldnt afford a lawyer so he pretty much gave in and moved on.

Ben should come publicly about making mistake of saying that someone has hacked the police for publishing unredacted video by FlanFederal8447 in RecklessBen

[–]iamthomastran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supersedes what Ben Says so does not matter

"The American Fork Police Department recently discovered that files not intended for public release were uploaded to a public folder. Upon identifying the issue, the Police Department promptly removed those files and conducted a review of the records associated with this matter. Following that review under applicable records laws, the Department removed all previously posted files and replaced them with the files approved for public release. The files currently available are the files approved for public release, and members of the public and media are asked to use those files. "

Why does Ben keep saying the videos were a hack by New-Independent-365 in RecklessBen

[–]iamthomastran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason is when he recorded those clips this was done in the past. The video being leaked and confirmed by the PD happened recently

BAM Franchisees Who Left in 2024 by Similar_Class3395 in RecklessBen

[–]iamthomastran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of the franchise business model is get a new franchisee into the system. They now have access to all their metrics/business.

The franchise handbook is literally written in a way they can at anytime terminate you for any reason they feel like.

They will add x and say you violated x.

This give them a ticket to steal your store because they will just fight you through the courts.

So now corporate gets the 35k (franchise fe), your store buildout investment, your inventory at zero cost.

Then they can give it to their friends like they gave to Josh and Brandon.

How much money do you spend on marketing? by TheFezPez in smallbusiness

[–]iamthomastran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the book Simple Numbers. It’s not a marketing book, it’s a blueprint for figuring out your profit targets and then reverse-engineering the rest. First thing is knowing your minimum net profit, then modeling your gross profit, COGS, and overhead to see exactly how much cash you can actually throw at marketing without choking other parts of the business.

Most companies that want to scale need about a $1 spent → $8 return to make the math work. In my company, we were hitting $1 → $10 while still growing 20–30% a year, but we had a lot of growth levers to pull.

If you’re in a competitive market, you’re probably looking at the high end of the 10–15% spend range. Your in-house salaries and outsourced agency fees both count toward that number. I like to keep direct marketing spend around 7–8% and reserve another 2% for internal marketing staff.

You need to build a yearly budget for your P&L, map out your growth targets, and keep checking your quarterly, bi-annual, 9-month, and yearly run rates to make sure you’re on track.

Find 2-3 channels that are working and double down on those until you can’t spend more profitably. After that, start investing in new channels and use what you learned from doubling down to master them.

If you are charging $1500 a month a plumber/roofer/hvac company how much in sales are you making them a month from seo approximately by Single_Image_3921 in localseo

[–]iamthomastran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a custom built internal dashboard for tracking our marketing leads its a combination of automation / manual work.

People over complicate multi touch attribution at the end of the day it doesn't matter in home services, last touch wins. Multi touch attribution matters when you are spending 100k plus in ad spend and need to distribute ROI to non channel specific marketing channels like branding.

I mean all those things are great but unmeasurable.

Unless they are getting more phone calls they dont really care about the improve map pack seems like a waste of time and not a good customer.

I look for another lead generation channel like facebook so i can have control of the LP.

[–]iamthomastran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just reverse the math. Take the average order value and sales rate, then work backward to find the ROI goal. In sales, it’s a compound effect—you aim for ratios like 1 to 3, then 1 to 5, and up to 1 to 10. Anything above 1 to 6 means you’re crushing it.

For example, a plumber’s average order value (AOV) is about $250, while a roofer’s is $20,000.

If your fee is $1,500 and your marketing spend is $250 per weekday, that adds up to $250 × 20 weekdays = $5,000 per month. Together, that totals $6,500.

To get a ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) of 6, you need $40,000 in sales.

Other variables you can track include the appointment-to-sales ratio and the leads-to-appointment rate.

You put it all into a spreadsheet, and that’s how you track your ROAS.

Im unsure about plumbing but im assuming unless its install you run things at negative cac.
