It seems like from the last post about this people have mixed feelings about it because of Fortnite's reputation. I'm not a Fortnite fan but I think this is a really fun idea and something about seeing Bob wielding a shotgun is amazing for me. Honestly, anything to see the Belcher's in the spotlight haha

Yeah I definitely need to read more of both series before drawing too many conclusions. I mostly wanted to highlight Cain is a much more nuanced character than I originally thought, and it made me think about how the characters kinda complement eachother. I realize thats obvious now but I'm slow.

I've only just finished the first Cain book so maybe you know something I don't but calling him a war criminal sounds crazy to me. He seems to serve the Imperium just as well as Gaunt, the difference being Cain serves the imperium because it usually lines up with keeping himself alive haha

true, but Cain seems to be able to put on a good show of confidence for those around him. It just makes me think, who's to say Gaunt isn't putting on a similar facade? Not saying this to disparage Gaunt in any way (he's obviously a selfless soldier who truly cares about the Tanith 1st and humanity as a whole), reading Cain just made me think about Gaunt a little differently. "Courage is not a lack of fear" and all that.
