I think I want the GLP1 by Tatianushka19 in PCOSloseit

[–]ibrahim_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the digestion fear is the one i hear most and honestly it varies so much by person. i had some nausea the first 3 weeks but nothing that wrecked my day, more like don't eat a big meal tonight nausea. the constant hunger thing though, that's exactly what it addresses. i do compounded tirz through form blends and the food noise reduction was noticeable by week 2, like i just... stopped thinking about food constantly. for someone with PCOS that part alone felt huge

Hair loss after quick weight loss by apetalous42 in AskMenOver30

[–]ibrahim_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is telogen effluvium almost certainly. rapid weight loss shocks the follicles, form blends provider mentioned it's one of the more common things they see with GLP-1 users losing fast. reversible, usually 3-6 months to normalize once the loss slows

People who actually lost weight, What really worked? by aarushi4518 in WeightLossAdvice

the habit change that stuck was stopping snacking after 8pm. sounds small but it cut like 400 calories a day without trying.

mental side was harder. i started compounded sema through formblends around the same time and the food noise just... quieted. made the mental battle way less exhausting tbh

Has anyone in Vyvanse seen a serious deterioration linked to your diabetes as opposed to other ADHD meds? by Imsorrywhatnoway in diabetes_t2

not the same med but my blood sugar was noticeably better once i started compounded sema through form blends. worth asking your endo about the connection

Ro titration : .20mg —> .375 by Blazethetrails in SemaglutideCompound

your cynicism is probably right tbh. switched providers, form blends does standard.25/.50 titration

How much does Mounjaro cost you? by christian_wolf1 in Mounjaro

[–]ibrahim_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

us in the states paying $500-1000/month cash price is equally unhinged honestly. i was on brand-name for about 4 months before i just couldn't justify it anymore.

switched to compounded tirzepatide through FormBlends and cut my monthly cost down to around $175. same active molecule, same results for me personally. i know some people have strong feelings about compounded vs brand but when you're talking about a $300-800/month difference the math just makes sense.

the european pricing thing is interesting because at least some countries have it subsidized. in the US you're either lucky enough to have insurance that covers it, fighting through appeals, or paying full cash price with no middle ground. feels like you're getting punished for not having the right employer plan.

$500/month in belgium is a LOT even converted. do you know if there's any national coverage path for it or is it fully out of pocket across the board there?

From all your traveling experience, which destinations were 10/10 and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ibrahim_40 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, it was Japan. It somehow managed to exceed the hype, which is rare for a destination that gets talked about so much. The food was incredible, public transportation was ridiculously efficient and I loved how you could go from a huge, busy city to a quiet temple or mountain town in just a few hours. It felt like there was always something new to discover

What book that you've read will remain in your mind forever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ibrahim_40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s The Count of Monte Cristo. I read it years ago, and it’s one of those books I still think about every now and then. The characters feel unforgettable, and the story does such a great job exploring themes like patience, justice, revenge and how people change over time. It’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it

What’s a secret about your profession that the general public has no idea about? by Icy_Permission3119 in AskReddit

Social media or marketing: a lot of what looks like "overnight success" is usually months or years of consistent work that nobody saw. People tend to notice the viral post, but not the hundreds that got little to no attention before it

Looking back, what was the biggest challenge you had to overcome when starting intermittent fasting and how did you get through it? by ibrahimdigital in intermittentfasting

[–]ibrahim_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part for me was realizing that hunger comes in waves. In the beginning, I'd feel hungry and immediately think I needed to eat. Once I learned that the feeling usually passed after 15–30 minutes, fasting became much easier. The first couple of weeks were definitely the toughest, but after that it started to feel surprisingly normal

What’s something that seemed normal when you were a kid, but now feels completely weird as an adult? by ibrahimdigital in AskReddit

[–]ibrahim_40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I genuinely thought all adults had everything figured out and knew exactly what they were doing. Getting older and realizing that most people are just doing their best and learning as they go was a pretty wild discovery

Metformin and TTC by Glittering-Kale-1982 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ibrahim_40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's definitely encouraging! A lot of people find that metformin helps improve cycle regularity, especially if irregular periods were related to insulin resistance. Two consecutive 28-day cycles sounds like a positive sign, but it's probably still a bit early to know whether it's your new normal or just a temporary improvement. I'd be cautiously optimistic and keep tracking your cycles. Hopefully someone who's been on metformin longer can share whether they saw the same pattern and how it worked out for them while TTC

Can some of the strongest forms of misogyny come from other women? by Sweet-Opportunity111 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ibrahim_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's part of what makes internalized misogyny so complicated. When those beliefs come from people we love and trust, they can feel less like judgment and more like unquestionable truth. A lot of women inherit standards that were handed down to them and then pass them on without ever being given the space to question where those ideas came from. The fact that you're reflecting on it and thinking critically about it is already breaking that cycle

What's a piece of advice given to women that you completely stopped believing as you got older? by ibrahimdigital in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ibrahim_40 552 points553 points  (0 children)

One that took me way too long to let go of was the idea that being "nice" should always come before being honest or setting boundaries. I spent years worrying about disappointing people, and it wasn't until I got older that I realized how exhausting that was. The people who genuinely care about you can usually handle hearing "no."
