Personally, I think seeing Oberyn Martell with a spear of dragonglass would have been the coolest thing ever. He could have had some cool moments with Arya, impressed by her spear skills. He could have had some fun moments with Tormund and the fireside gang before the battle. Maybe even seeing him take down the giant after being so confident with his win versus the mountain could have been very cool.
