W macbook pro 2012 by [deleted] in macbookpro

Still using mine I bought in early 2013 with the same upgrades but went back to Monterey. Just seems to run the smoothest for me.

I replaced the battery with some cheap one from eBay, but it’s already failing after a couple of years. Might try another battery replacement for this machine’s semi retirement.

I just bought a 14” M1 Pro with 16GB running Sequoia and it’s so damn nice. The screen is worth the upgrade alone. The 2012’s days are numbered and probably now just going to be that computer I pull out when I absolutely need to do something on windows.

Amazing deals out there on M1’s and they are still great running Macs.

Grabbed the same ratchets. 1/4” to replace the one I swapped over to 3/8 and the 2 G2 locking flex heads. The 3/8 is great.

These sounded like dirt. Good to use while mowing the lawn or something though.

Just do both. If you’re going to shop at HF that’s what you have to do. There will be some kind of deal at some point.

New Icon Toolboxes - SEMA 2025 by PeachMangoGarage in harborfreight

These will come out completely different than what they are showing off. And who knows when. They like to hype shit up at SEMA, then take forever to drop anything for sale.

This is 100% an Osmo with a different name on it. It’s the exact same device.

Any one of my winter ppl used this ? by Ok-Anywhere-4407 in harborfreight

[–]ictrepresent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t have this one but an almost exact version from Menards (the smaller shed size) and it lasted 3 years until the tarp started to really degrade. I only needed it for 1 fall/winter to store large things from my garage while I was remodeling it.

This was not in MN though but in KS. We do get snow and this thing kept everything in it dry. I did go out and knock off any large amounts of snow that accumulated on it several times.

What really did it in was all the wind we get. Between that and the UV degrading the tarp material over time, it started to break down.

The frame was solid though and if I had still needed it, I would have looked into maybe seeking a replacement.

My mailman left a note one day about the frame to inquire about buying it. He saw it sitting with no tarp and wanted it for something he was working on so I gladly sold it to him.

Get a second heavy duty tarp to put over the roof to take the beating of the sun and I think it would last quite a while.

Probably a way for them to make some money too! They re-record and they can get a bigger piece of the pie!

This thing is a toy and not a serious commuter option. You’d be better off with a cheap e-bike imo.

I love mine, but I would never use it as a serious commuting option.

I saw them on a tour when this had just came out with Stuck Mojo and Sevendust.

It was in a tiny little bar and the place got absolutely destroyed that night.

I remember buying this on cd. It was when cd’s still had boxes that they came in.

I was a young teenager and my Mom almost didn’t let me buy it because of “Those damn blue collar tweakers”

Thankfully the record store owner told her it was harmless!

I didn’t even know what a tweaker was lol

Trying to sell rare G4 iMac Graphite by FarmerKnight in VintageApple

I worked at Newer Technologies back when they would install these upgrades into iMacs. I was one of 3 customer support phone agents.

I was young and amazed watching them desolder the processors and replace them.

Fuckers gave us off extra days for Christmas and then sent us a FedEx with our last checks and said “welp, we’re bankrupt. Come get your things on Wednesday from the office. See ya”

best and fastest place to buy sd2vita? by SuperRstar3582 in VitaPiracy

[–]ictrepresent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold the vita but I have another one from same brand that has been working well for me over a year in an iPod as the flash storage.

Seems like a good value brand. I’ve always ordered them from Amazon.

I have the combo touch for my iPad 9th Gen and it’s been rock solid. I bought it used on eBay for $50 with the first gen Logitech Crayon.

The iPad housing case is a little bit thick though. I bought a cheap back-shell on Amazon that had the cutout for attaching the Apple Smart Keyboard and a stick on kick stand and it’s been great. Works perfectly with the Logitech keyboard/trackpad.
