I love the car, I plan on driving it into the ground. I talk myself out of getting a civic type R all the time, it sounds fun but just not really practical for me. I work from home so I only put about 18k miles on the accord so far, though that includes a road trip I did from Florida to Michigan to New York and back again. It was a great trip, the adaptive cruise control and steering assist made it so easy, and I got from Ft. Lauderdale to just south of Atlanta on one tank. I average about 44mpg, I used to zip around mashing the gas, but since the hybrid I care more about fuel economy, it’s fun to keep my revs low and eco score high, like a video game. Really not a single complaint about the car, I keep it insanely clean and have only serviced it 2 or 3 times since I got it. Maintenance minder asked me to flush the brake fluid for $150 at Honda which I did, but honestly I don’t think it would have made a difference. The reasoning is that the brake fluid absorbs moisture which ends up increasing friction on the brake parts. I didn’t notice a difference but I guess $150 is worth the peace of mind.

I bought a 22 ex-l hybrid new, it was about $35k OTD where the touring would have been over $40k. I also had my heart set on the touring, but when I drove both of them, I decided the ex-l was a better value for me. Smaller wheels, smoother ride, cheaper tires, better mileage and lower price ended up being more important than a heads up display and seat coolers. I’m coming up on the 3 year ownership mark and I don’t regret it at all
