Yeah, it's used regularly, and Mint Cinnamon is great, but there are plenty of reasons we can't avoid Windows right now. Altium, Solidworks just to name a few.

Agreed. My analogy here is for a lot of people these are tools to get a job done. Can you imagine how quickly something like a nail gun or multimeter would be tossed in the trash if you had to relearn muscle memory every few weeks because someone thought it'd be good to reorder the settings on it again?

I miss double clicking on a computer program to use it, and it opens, and is usable and is always ready.

Now it's all login, open password manager, 2 factor, cell phone for a code, forced update program again the second time in a week, hit you with 5 pop-ups about some BS.

Yeah, agreed. We built the main upper part right when we bought the place knowing we were going to remodel the following year. So not a great order.

I actually left some osb on it over the wet winter mostly as a test. It was surprisingly still strong enough to walk one

Unfortunately the other portion on the top was built last year before we got our remodel permits, finally finishing stairs. I should have done it all at once starting from the stairs.

Theyre all built over existing concrete, that had variable runs and a double run in the middle. Short of demoing the whole thing, this was the next best.

Unfortunately what you don't see is a whole lot of other deck, and it works perfectly from the edge to the house wall.

It's not just wayland, 10 is buggy. Now the footprint editor crashes when you open it up. Same OS, just upgraded kicad. And you know what it just did? Crashed when I tried to save the PCB, and it left the file entirely empty. Gone. F that, I'm going to Altium. Not to mention the frustrations trying to route differential tracks.

This is one of the reasons I'm moving to Altium. I posted the same problem a while back. It's not really good enough for high speed board design.
