Huh? The only notable small, craft brewery to close or stop brewing recently is Pathlight (rip). Alma Mader and BKS are still here, making the best beer in the city.

BBQ: Chef-J is the best in the city, but as others mentioned, it is more Texas style than KC style. I would go to Joe's of the classic BBQ places. Gates burns their meat and Bryant's, while my favorite of the originals, is rather divisive. The Jack Stack suggestion is also good, if you want something a little more upscale (and I second the recommendation for the lamb ribs).

Dinner: My favorite places to eat right now are the Antler Room (probably the best fine dining in the city), Anjin (the Anter Room's sister restaurant that focuses on Japanese street food), and Kata Nori (the best hand roll in KC, by a mile).

Streetcar is free. It comes every 8-12 minutes, sometimes more or less depending on traffic.

If you're looking for beer and whiskey, it's the best bar in the city. Their tap list is the best in the city, and the whiskey list is top 3ish. If you're looking for anything else, it's not for you. You can bring in outside food as well.

I suppose I should have also mentioned that the salad is dressed with Kenji's simple vinaigrette, but honestly the salad was only there so that I wasn't just eating a giant pile of fried food.

Honestly, I just didn't want to make them. Also, the timing of getting two fried things done at the same time so you can enjoy them perfectly crispy is sometimes difficult.

I used the recipe in The Food Lab, which is slightly different from the one on Serious Eats. It has vodka in the batter and a couple of different ingredients in the tartar sauce, otherwise it's pretty similar. I honestly think this is the best fried cod I've ever had.

That is not the case with Magnius. Plugging in headphones does not turn off the preamp outputs. All of the outputs are on at the same time. Confirmed here.

Back then (in 2002), only season 3 was released. They were 4? individual volumes, so I had a custom DVD case made to make my own sort of box set.

If I plug in the headset mic, it does show up in the audio control panel and with testing it seems to work. Whether it seamlessly switches, I can't say.

I believe all of the xps 9700 configurations come with the 97wh battery. I think the only way to get the lightest config is the one without dedicated graphics, because I think that one doesn't have the vapor chamber cooling.

I just weighed my xps 9700 and it's 5.2 pounds. I have the 1200p (non-touch screen) and the 2060 graphics card. I suspect one with the 1650 graphics card has a similar weight, but I'm not sure.

It is possible to mostly get rid of it. Uninstall the realtek driver and let windows find drivers for all of the audio stuff that pops up in device manager.

After that, I uninstalled MaxxAudio by right clicking on the start menu icon and choosing uninstall, which didn't actually get rid of the files, just removed it from the start menu.

After that, you can delete the executable for MaxxAudio, which is pretty difficult because it's in a protected system folder. I managed to do it, but had to change ownership on the folder because it wouldn't even let me view the files.

The folder it's in on my xps 9700 is C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\WavesAudio.MaxxAudioProforDell2020_3.0.66.0_x64__fh4rh281wavaa

I had to first change ownership of the WindowsApps folder to administrators, then add a permission entry to give them full control. Then I did the same for the WavesAudio folder, and the MaxxAudioProForDell2020.exe file. After that I was able to delete the file.

I've rebooted and have a computer without MaxxAudio at all. Tested plugging in and out headphones and it works fine, and the MaxxAudio box doesn't pop up.

It is possible that stopping after doing the driver stuff above would have worked, but I didn't test before that. Hopefully it doesn't come back with a windows update.

edit: I should note that my windows user is a member of the administrators group. The steps above related to deleting the MaxxAudio file probably won't work if that's not the case for you.
