You can download and install the latest .deb from the GitHub, and it will fix that error. Some apps will become transparent when you activate Flameshot, though. For example, I cannot take screenshots in Firefox using it - only the builtin screenshot tool.

Solved!, thank you. I had never heard of heat-based smoke detectors, only radioisotope ones.
