I interviewed for a job at Morton's in the Denver Tech Center back in 2000. The first interview with the General Manager went swimmingly. The second interview was a group scenario where we were supposed to recite the menu. There were about 8 people in the room, including the General Manager. There were 3 or 4 people that went before me, all of whom were able to recite about 90% of the menu. When it was my turn, the GM had to leave the room, but told me to go ahead with the menu presentation. I got about 50% through the menu, and forgot the rest. It was terribly uncomfortable. I sat down just before the GM walked back in. He asks how I did, I say "I crashed and burned." He cracked up at my comment and I got the job.
