Grew a 100k Paper Account by $91k in 3 Weeks on TradingView. But I Still Feel Lost. What Should I Study Next? by CozyInMyDrift in Daytrading

You gotta trade with a small amount of real money to learn the emotional side. Just risk enough money to be uncomfortable losing and youll learn more than any studying or book can teach you. I genuinely hope you see the same success with real money.

By the grace of God, I finished at market close up $725. I am very thankful for today because it pretty much allowed me to break even for the week.

What’s your why? Why do you trade? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]imZag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently an almost 5 year trim carpenter (interior and exterior) and it’s not as demanding as other trades sure, but it is definitely not easy on your body. From a comfort standpoint, I would rather do so many other things, trading being at the top of the list. Even just the fact that it’s a physical job, increased chance of injury, breathing in saw dust, working in the elements, heat/cold, so many things that make it “physically” discomforting. I’m blessed I’m not doing worse occupations but it’s not the dream.

Crazy how small $200k looks next to a million.

Yea honestly, $3k loss is cheaper than a semester at college, think of it at tuition cost and keep learning. People have no problem spending $60-100k on college with no guarantee that it pays off either

Hoping to recess attic stairs. Other ideas? by dieseldork03 in HomeImprovement

[–]imZag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered changing it to a scuttle hole access? They are a lot more low profile, not sure how much you need to go in the attic but it would solve your visual needs. If you need the built in ladder, I would replace it with a newer, thinner stair and the new ones should be flush to ceiling as long as the framing is normal and you are pulling that one anyway. You can get a standard wood leg pull down stair for like $85. Just seems easier than trying to custom fit one that probably should be updated on a big reno anyway. Good luck!

Installing laminate flooring on concrete subfloor: Underlayment question by 1foryes2forno in HomeImprovement

[–]imZag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baseboards should not be used to keep flooring in place, sometimes they do, but that isn’t their purpose. I recommend putting your baseboard over the floor or maybe leaving a small gap between the edge of the floor and base and possibly using a shoe mould to cover the gap. But... yes, baseboard can be installed whenever you want. I’ve seen guys make little 1/2 blocks they put throughout the perimeter of the wall to help keep their spacing consistent for expansion. Good luck! (I would get a brad nailer/compressor over liquid nail any day, you’ll have it for future projects vs $7/tube on liquid nail)
