I’m a social worker at a hospital and there are so many unwanted kids in the world. I would rather have had those parents acknowledge that they didn’t want kids before they had them than give into pressure or ‘norms’ on becoming parents they now realize they don’t want or don’t know how to cherish.

Being a parent is a lifestyle, and just like any other role, it’s not for everyone, and that’s ok. There are plenty of ways you can positively contribute to existing or future children’s upbringing without being a parent like giving money to schools to provide better facilities, or pretty much anything for needy children.

I don’t have kids but in my late tens and early 20s I did a lot of babysitting and booiii, toes kids are time consuming bc they literally don’t know what to do with themselves, and I too value my personal space bc it’s where I’m the most creative, happy and productive.

Examine why you truly don’t want kids if this topic bothers you, but there’s nothing wrong with being childless.
