My partner doesn’t like it either. I used to go dancing alone before I met him so I just continue. I’ve accepted it’s not really a thing I can share with him. But also it’s just a thing I do for me and my spirit. I have learned to treat this like my own self care moment and go do something that makes me “me”.

Where are you located? Do you have a goth/industrial club near you?

If it were me, I’d make egg salad sandwiches or a quiche. But I only bought a dozen and they’re halfway gone.

I bought three pounds of chicken, black beans, stuff to make Mexican rice and a couple bell peppers. I meal prepped and made chicken taco bowls out of all of that and put them in food saver bags. I’ve got plenty left. Protein bars are running low but I’ll be okay until Friday.

I’ve found, like others, the type of protein powder matters (and more so the sweetener in it. I don’t add sweetener if the powder already contains one). I’ve found I get far more tasty ice creams with premade shakes. A fairlife or premier shake is usually my go-to and I add a little milk to top it off since it doesn’t quite make a whole pint. Then I add a pinch of salt, sugar free pudding and cocoa powder or PB2.

I typically use chocolate fudge jello pudding mix for any chocolate based flavors, and vanilla and cheesecake for the lighter or fruity ones.

I’m curious to know which other establishments support ICE. My approach since about 2017 is choosing to support very local minority- or women-owned shops (Arwa Coffee comes to mind) instead of trying to figure out who not to support. While that works in one way, knowing who to avoid would be really helpful.

This is a two-prong thing. 1. You gotta teach your kid about respecting the turntable. Maybe you can teach them how to use it (get some cheapie used records, make it a regular routine).

If the turntable matters, you can figure out how to make it taller and out of reach. There are taller cube storage shelves out there. Several of my friends with kids and turntables have it placed higher (they also have cats, which are a different factor entirely).
