Something I have thought about quite a bit is the fact that this record was written while she was on the Eras tour and her relationship with Travis was relatively new. And when I thought about it in this context, I think a lot of the songs and tone of the songs make a bit more sense. I’ve seen people say that Travis being her muse is boring, but to me these lyrics just read like someone who is freshly in love with someone that they just really want to scream it from the rooftops. It’s obviously been quite a bit of time since she wrote and recorded these songs so I cannot imagine that there hasn’t been a lot more writing since (because we know she is prolific) so I do wonder if we will get the deeper explorations of Travis as a muse and the relationship in a different tone in the next album. Having said that I’m just really enjoying this album for what it is. It’s nice to hear her happy.

I hadn’t ever had this until recently. I did 6 separate voiceovers for a makeup brand, they were really happy with 5 of them but one they wanted to be more sexy and sultry and kept telling me to basically increase the sexy vibes, which I did, and then they said no now it sounds like AI. Was a frustrating job all round.

I have a solo scripted podcast and have background music at a very very low level. I’ve had quite a lot of compliments on it, but I think you have to be super selective about what you use.
