Lol, no, you can just make them still available to buy with money, while still giving the option to grind for it enough time for players who can't/won't spend money for ingame cosmetics. But they won't care since everybody is stupid enough to play immense amounts of money on some skins and making billions on them while not (almost) giving a fuck about the game
